Would love to see KHARTOUM get a remastered release with a "smile box" option.

The westerns would seem like good bets, but apparently there's only 1 in the deal, and since the Insider was somewhat cagey about revealing the decade, I'm actually wondering if it is indeed The Alamo. We'll see.

And while we're at it, the 60s MGM Twilight Time pool as I have it:

Exodus
Kid Galahad
I Could Go On Singing
The World of Henry Orient
Khartoum
The Glory Guys
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
Hour of the Gun
The Bride Wore Black
Play Dirty
The Bridge at Remagen
The Secret of Santa Vittoria
Mississippi Mermaid
Rumors are that MGM no longer has rights to the Truffaut films.

Yay! One of my favorite Brian De Palma movies along with CARRIE (1976).

I recently found on eBay a novelization of Dressed To Kill (1980) and it had a great cover that had a closet with it's door open, a blonde wig, black overcoat with straight-razor and high heels.

That would make a terrific alternate cover! I don't know how to share photos on here or I would.

Lenny is with Criterion. I think it was confirmed several months ago by someone working on the commentary for the new disc.

I have a question for The Kino Insider.
I plan on buying The Outer Limits Season 2 Blu Ray directly from Kino.
I have read that The Episode Soldier has issues and a replacement disc was issued.
My question is if I order from Kino will Kino also send me the replacement disc with my order?
Thanks!

The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake
Attack of the Puppet People
The Manster
The Angry Red Planet
Thunder Road
Possibly Hound of the Baskervilles (which IIRC was released by TT?)

MGM only has streaming rights to The Story of Adčle H., while the remaining rights are reportedly with MK2.

Yanks is Universal in the US and TT got it from them. MGM owns international rights from distributor UA.

The Hawaiians is probably with that new label who's name is of a Bird on the beach. They've been on a run with reissuing former TT MGM titles.

Probably the with the Sandpiper label that also dosen't do new transfer and just puts out whatever shitty masters are given to them.

Please let "Vampire's Kiss" be in that batch. Shout only issued it on a double feature with "High Spirits", which is currently $49.99 on Amazon.

That's how it worked with my order a little over 2 years ago. The replacement disc came in the same shipment as the S2 set. If Kino has done any additional pressings it should be with the corrected disc.

Like another member previously noted, this sale links to three paychecks, so with that, my final...

Unfortunately whatever the 50s previously on Blu title is, it wasn't released by TT. Otherwise I'd say that was the most likely contender.

I don't know about this specific title, but the Insider is suggesting the Truffaut films are still with MGM at the moment. It seems unlikely, but I'll keep it on there for now. I'm thinking if they have Truffaut in the deal they'll have several.

From my discussions with Arrow and the BFI, it appears that the 'MGM Truffauts' are still with MGM. However, it also seems that they don't have decent masters for a few of them - and they've all been recently restored by their French distributor, MK2. It may require dealings with both in order to put together a good release.

My wife bought me this set from Amazon last fall. Would that set have the replacement disc?

I think they’re asking where is the evidence of commentary being recorded. I hadn’t seen it either, so was curious. Since Criterion often takes ages to release, why would you think they’re having second thoughts?

My last Kino sale haul:

This actually exhausts all the remaining Kino discs on my want list. Too bad The Good The Bad and The Ugly 4k wasn't on sale, but it's nice to say I am all caught up (for now) with Kino.
