I watched The Unguarded Moment on a rainy Saturday afternoon some years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The ending was a complete surprise. I'm looking forward to seeing the remastered edition. Raw Wind in Eden will be a blind buy for me, but Kino's releases of Foxfire, The Red Ball Express and other Jeff Chandler films have piqued my interest in his career, so it will be a must-have for me.

Another Chandler film that I saw years ago on TCM and have always wanted to have on blu-ray is The Tattered Dress, which also stars Jeanne Crain, Gail Russell, and Jack Carson. I'm not sure if it's on Kino's radar, but I'm saving a space for it in my collection, just in case.

Thanks, Kino!

Richard Wilson was a longtime Welles’ collaborator back to his radio days. He even appears in The Other Side of the Wind in a hilarious cameo.

I am a little surprised that these lower-tier Ester Williams movies are being sold separately. I would think these would do better in a 3-movie box set. But that is just me. I added them to my want list, but am far more excited about the Bob Hope, Film Noirs and Fu Manchu releases...

Same. I would've thought they'd be better suited in a box set, since they're fairly obscure noirs. However, I'm glad Kino is releasing them, and perhaps it'll cause a bit of a rediscover for them. I'll be buying them for sure

I just noticed, based on the posters, that both aren't Technicolor films technically, as Raw Wind in Eden is Eastmancolor.

They probably think they can sell more copies since some people would be open to one or the other and perhaps not a box set.

Kino Insider - After today I have the number of 50s titles left at 19, though you said it was 18. Maybe I've missed an announcement, or something changed? Here's what I have:

1950s x 19 (1950x5, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1955x2, 1956x2, 1957x6, 1958)

Deported (1950)
Francis: The Talking Mule Series (1950-1956)
Shakedown (1950)
Bedtime for Bonzo (1951)
Bright Victory (1951)
The Raging Tide (1951)
Because of You (1952)
To Hell and Back (1955)
Outside the Law (1956)
The Unguarded Moment (1956)
The Midnight Story (1957)
Jet Pilot (1957)
Love Slaves of the Amazons (1957)
Raw Wind in Eden (1958)

Actually, since these are considered lesser noirs, they would be right at home in part of a Kino Film Noir box set.

They would. Maybe they didn't have a third to make another box set.

You may be the first person to be excited about Bob Hope since Bob Hope.

Not sure how many times I have to say it, this may be the tenth or eleventh time... we've asked for Midnight multiple times and each time we were told that it's under license with another label and not available to us.

We don't consider these lower-tier and never intended to sell them as a set.

Is Needful Things big enough to warrant a new scan or even a UHD release?

And I guess I need to also say this for the tenth time, actor sets have not sold well for us. Why would we pay for two 2K color restorations and throw it in a boxed set.

It's true these aren't like the musical swim extravaganzas she made at MGM. But Universal released both as definite A pictures - widescreen, color, the works. Esther's screen personality is always catnip to me. And she never looks less than beautiful. As a matter of fact, I think "The Unguarded Moment" is one of the three movies that capture her at her most stunning (the other two being "Thrill of a Romance" from '45 and "Skirts Ahoy!" from '52).
If Kino wants to call "Raw Wind in Eden" a noir so be it. In fact, the thing's about a disparate group holed up on a tiny Mediterranean island and the various interpersonal kerfuffles (frequently violent) that ensue. The movie's actually filmed on location in Europe. Big bonus is the presence of Rossana Podesta, my favorite Italian import of the 50's. I've been a fan of hers ever since "Helen of Troy". And what's the hold-up with a WAC Blu-ray of that much requested title?
I already own the TCM DVD of "The Unguarded Moment", but am looking forward to getting my hands on the Blu-s of both it and "Raw Wind in Eden".
The release dates can't come quick enough for me. Thank you Kino - yet again.

I agree. I figured actor sets weren't big sellers and a noir set wasn't in the cards for these titles.

We'll never include "color noir" titles in our noir sets.

I mean even if you think a film is 'lesser', just wait for one of the seasonal sales and get it for 10 bux or less. Seems like an absolute win to me.
