. That’s just the reconstructed version. It’s like that all around the disc. My preview version is scratched to hell also. Don’t know why they aren’t doing anything about this with so many complaints and discs being scratched.

Wow, that's really bad. I can't imagine they won't issue a replacement for a disc that damaged. Even if it by some luck it was to play perfectly right now, it's only a matter of time with that disc.

Based on what's left, I kind of hope it's Hanna's War. Never seen it, but sounds like a pretty powerful film. Plus it has Donald Pleasance.

I'm kind of indifferent towards her. She's not an actress who I don't like, but isn't someone who I seek out to when watching film. Donald Pleasance on the other hand is someone I love. David Warner is also in this, and a big fan of his work as well.

After reading the review of the film it's not my type of genre and I doubt it's yours either Duke. I'm now rooting for HELL SQUAD which is a very cool film but it may be suited more as a Code Red type pick.

Besides Last Rites, Lightning The White Stallion can be eliminated because it's already had an MGM DVD release.

Maybe, but I'd be willing to give it a shot just based on the cast and the fact that it's a WWII film.

Most of the user reviews on IMDB seem to give it favorable reviews.

I went to ebay to see if it was ever on vhs and there were 15 listed and only 1 sold but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not a good film. BTW it was great watching IL Grande Racket in Italian with subs, much better than the badly dubbed English version. One of the best!

Yeah, watching The Big Racket in Italian was fantastic. I had the Blue Underground DVD in English and I can't tell you how much it bugged me watching that in English. With this, and Contraband now going to be released with the Italian audio as an option, I can't express how great that makes me feel.

Sadly, one Donald Pleasence title we won't be getting is the MGM/UA title MATCHLESS (of which he is the star, along with Patrick O'Neal & Henry Silva) produced by Dino DeLaurentiis, as The Insider said it wouldn't sell enough.
