I just luv it; better screen uniformity and colour luminance than LG. Samsung is back and it can only get better from here.
Can Sammy make a new 4K BR reference player? Nah, those days are long gone. Panny earned that spot.

Anyway more OLED players more fun. Bigger sizes bigger fun times.
The battle for the stars just keep larger. ...The sum of all fears.

The best TV is the one with the less annoying flaws and with the highest fidelity to the best film cinematographers internationally. That one is yet to come ...

I don't mind a little bit of juicing up but looks like it is above and beyond my preferences. Why would they boost SDR range colours is baffling.

This guy?

Possibly ...

And for something else ... Mini-LED

8K?

TVs today are much more fun; bigger and brighter.
I'm looking @ yesterday's cathode-ray tube TVs and rear-projection TVs and their prices ... we came a long way, price wise too.

Performance in 2022 (streaming included) is the best.
And next year, 2023, is going to be even better.
In 2024? You betcha.

Today's TVs is tomorrow's nightmares ... it is what it is.

Dude, why do you think that Quantum douchebag has the followers that he does? He tells them to force wide colour gamut on everything and ERMAGERD THE COLOURS JUST POP etc etc. Samsung TVs are literally geared up to appeal to that kind of demographic. As I said, it's why they're the #1 TV brand in the world and have been for many, many years: people want dat "pop" (ugh).

In this day and age of information highways, byways, boulevards and inter webs, why anyone would follow what that quantum guy spews is a head scratcher. Makes my dingleberries itch.

What, are you kidding? We're currently living in the age of the imbecile and the internet is what's allowing people to be stupid en masse.

That's the sad thing. The average person now has more and easier access to a wealth of information than their ancestors did at any earlier point in history. It's easier than ever to fact check, to inform and educate yourself on any and every matter if you truly want to, and so on and so forth. And yet, so many do what they've always done of blindly believing hearsay and misinformation, listening to and trusting anyone who presents themselves as an expert/professional/person of authority in whichever field on whichever matter, etc.

Now, I'm not one of those extremely anti-internet people. I genuinely believe it does a lot of good - I wouldn't use it as much as I do if I thought it was a net negative for us as a species - like building bridges between individuals and populations that were much more isolated from each other historically. Just look at this forum as one example, where people from all over the world can come together to discuss common interests. But it has its downsides too, and just like it enables people to make connections and learn, it enables the aforementioned division and spreading of misinformation. Which is unfortunate.

Come on. If you pay him $5, he will tell you how to switch to BT.2020 and get a beyond reference picture.

One recently certified calibrator has posted all the calibrated measurements. I do appreciate him for taking all the efforts. Post calibration results are still off reference standards but again he has clearly mentioned that Samsung will be Samsung and it will please the vast majority looking for that pop. Some say VT is exaggerating this issue and has taken a stab at other calibrators for not explicitly highlighting these shortcomings. Ultimately it is all down to us consumers to pick our poison.

I wish Vincent and other reviewers would talk more about dark uniformity issues on traditional WRGB OLEDs.

Dolby Vision is not that big of a deal. Most LG OLEDs don't get bright enough to take advantage of Dolby Vision anyway.

You guys listen to Youtube Influencers for reviews. They have a vested interest in certain TV brands from others. Forum members just can't accept this as a fact. People are mad at Vincent for going in on the Samsung, he's going against the others in his reviews, and now he is affecting the sales of Samsung.

DV is not about maximum brightness. Never has been, never will be.

Do you even know what DV is? The lack of of brightness makes the dynamic tone mapping more important.
