I'd love to see the '90s Outer Limits on BD, but remember the fools who screwed it up in the first place by releasing "best of" collections rather than season collections. Today's execs will remember the sales failure, not why. Plus I doubt they'd spend the money to do a BD release, at best I think we'd get DVD sets if we get anything at all.

looking over my Bob Hope DVDs. here are the best ones (imho) that haven't been released by Kino - yet.
Give Me A Sailor (1938) Star Spangled Banner (1942) Louisiana Purchase (1941) Never Say Die (1939) Thanks for the Memory (1938) They have co-stars like Martha Raye, Bing Crosby, Gale Sondergaard, Dorothy Lamour , Fred MacMurray, Veronica Lake, Paulette Goddard and Dick Powell So hope these will manifest themselves on bluray from Kino - one day. |

Kino Insider - Are you able to say if the the 2 new-to-Blu 90s titles released on DVD received DVD releases or were part of the MGM MOD collection? Thanks.

No, I don't. I know it was an AVCO/Embassy release, but it's not with MGM or StudioCanal. Most likely back with one of the producers.

Were the edits due to music? Not sure why they would released an edited version of TV series otherwise. |

The extras on Draft, unusually plentiful for a Kino release, were also good (especially the short Hollywood Victory Caravan). I'm guessing poor sales helped explain the $7.99 price in the recent sale. Curious as to why/how Caught in the Draft got a 4K master compared to the 2K masters on most other Hope titles? That Paris Holiday sold poorly is much less surprising. |

I’m surprised about Caught In The Draft. As a non-Bob Hope stan, it and My Favorite Blonde were the only two of his non-Road movies I’d consistently heard good things about over the years. I thought its reputation would precede it on Blu-ray but I guess not.

It wasn't an issue with the music, they released the syndicated cuts instead of the original, removing nudity and bad language (probably some violence too, I've never actually seen any sort of comprehensive list, just specific examples cited). I don't remember whether they ever justified it as a decision; when companies release the syndicated cuts, they usually say it was an error, but sometimes it's a question of available elements. (I don't know if the uncut versions even aired anywhere outside of America.) Even recent releases on various streaming services have been hit or miss, some episodes are original and some are syndicated cuts. Then, on a different service, different episodes will be cut or not.
