If anything Avengers Endgame could have been the moment that manufacturers could catch with 3D new equipments but they did nothing. Wrost, just months earlier they, Disney and Marvel, stepped out from several countries with 3D and removed most dubbings/subtitles on their movies.

Endgame was hardly at the 3D level of Avatar. Endgame was a conversion, Avatar is not. Endgame directors didn't even consider framing shots for 3D or even think of 3D as a factor at all. Avatar does.
