And for you UKers, what better way to complete the last week in May than by watching Top Gun: Maverick in a theater on May 27th and seeing the 2022 Isle of Mann TT starting on the 28th –

And, importantly, let us not forget advanced screening(s) for some of our armed services personnel, e.g. -

‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’: Can a sequel be too late?

These days I think it is challenging for any movie that has a reasonable basis (assuming, for sure, some element of creative license thrown in to make the storyline and characters more dramatic) a reasonable basis involving more life-like people and potentially more real-life possible situations, to perform at the box office as well as what audiences are more drawn to these days, e.g. completely fictitious comic book heroes and waay outlandish (in terms of reality) storylines - https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/2021/
https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/2...alendarGrosses

I have my own theory as to why this be, at least in regards to adults and not children, but I think that best be left to social scientists and such. Hopefully, Top Gun: Maverick will achieve some degree of entertainment success and also inspire like the original Top Gun movie did.

Scheduled for Monday - https://abc.com/shows/jimmy-kimmel-l...2/#:~:text=Tom

As the May 2 show is sold out - https://1iota.com/show/1/jimmy-kimmel-live , you’ll have to catch it on TV or from a video snippet on their YouTube channel. Similar situation with James Corden (May 3 show sold out) - https://1iota.com/show/439/the-late-...h-james-corden - who, for the sake of those unfamiliar with the Brit, has had some quite humorous experiences not only with Tom, but other guests too (Edi won the contest), advised mature content esp. with Bob and eating the bananas –

Just saw the trailer for this on ESPN.

As bad as I fully expect this to be, I feel electricity running through my body right now.

Pure, 100%, beach volleyball-induced electricity.

I just hope it’s not as bad as Rocky 5.

..I don’t know if I survive that.

My local theater is offering a Top Gun Tuesday event on May 24th. Early showing ticket also includes a Helmet pin, print, and an NFT. I’m not sure if the larger chains are offering something similar but I’ll pay out of pocket for that.

specifically, the ‘Flying Eagles’ squadron, whose sticker from Top Gun: Maverick, I’ve arrowed –

Note to Monterey Jack, lower down (center) is a photo of a character from Top Gun, namely the RIO Goose.
