They have had pretty massive price reduction sales on the Pioneer Elite receivers over the last month or so. If you like to tweak your audio, then the Pioneer Elite series receivers are going to be right up your alley. I have the Pioneer Elite SC-05 running 7.1 channels all to Polk Audio speakers (see my gallery for more details if you'd like), and I couldn't be happier.

To be sure, the Pioneer Elite VSX-03TXH does 7.1, lossless audio, video upconversion, and has 3 HDMI inputs.

Thanks for the input - The VSX-03TXH may be too much weight for me - sounds weird but the entertainment center its on holds 50 lbs per shelf and I already have a APC AV H15 which weighs close to 17 lbs..

Although the Pioneer VSX-01TXH looks pretty good and it doesn't seem to be much of a downgrade from the Pioneer VSX-03TXH
