I feel ya. I’ve had it on my Wist Lists for years, but never pull the trigger. I never consider paying more than $20-$30 for an out of print release because chances are it will come round again in some country. Not to mention an older release with an old master could get an update. I like deals.

I rarely buy impulsively and almost always wait for deals, but last summer I had finally had enough and was dying to finally watch in HD.

It'll be some time before a Signal One release gets down in price, so I'll at least be able to get a little bit more mileage out of my German disc.

The only footage of the 1930 version that survives can be seen on the comedy short BOO on the various DVD/BDs of the 1931 FRANKENSTEIN...where weirdly the Cat is now Dracula!

It's not, many films are lost, some key ones. The 1936 Republic John Wayne starrer The Oregon Trail's prints/elements were destroyed by Republic when they remade the film in 1945 with Sunset Carson, they didn't want the wrong film to be printed and shipped by mistake.

Since, The Cat Creeps was also remade, I wouldn't be surprised if Universal did the same thing.
