We had acquired it from Miramax with Microcosmos, both are out of print.

Since the 4K UHD for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly has sold so well, would Kino consider putting out the extended cut in 4K as a separate release?

I would love to see Kino work with a Japanese company. Toei is apparently actively looking for people to license their films and I know Film Movement has a few company and others as well. This would be a dream come true as a lot of their crime films from the 60's and 70's are some of the best produced ever.

Toho on the other hand seems like it has never cared about working with others, and those that do work with them have to bend backwards to appease them.

Yeah, I know that's their reputation, and I know that KLI wouldn't be able to say much if there had been any kind of talks that never came through.

Just wondering if the attempt was ever made.
