Is it just me, and maybe i missed something, but no one seems to be really concerned about where Lafayette is? And he couldn't remember how long he had been down there. Kinda confused on how much time has passed.

Two weeks is the number I'm thinking of. I bet no one is concerned because he has probably done so in the past, just disappear for a while.

I liked how the vampire spokeswoman responded to the church of the sun spokesman's comment during the news interview. He said it's a lovely sunny day here in texas and he wished she was there. She said, give me 12 hours and I am on my way.

I thought of that scene as well. They're trying too hard to make her seem wholesome, so we'll all feel bad for her and it comes off a little forced. She is banging a vampire afterall and cock teasing Sam every third episode. I mean they could've just had her beat the steering wheel up and throw some tapes around in her car. We get it, she's pissed. She has every right to be upset and out of sorts. I just think moments like that lose a little bit of their edge. That dialogue takes me right out of the scene.

Either that or the character 'Sookie' is trying too hard to be more wholesome than she really is. I have actually known people with similar personalities so this doesn't seem accidentally forced to me.

This is an interesting idea, and maybe right. I never thought of that, but one thing that did cross my mind was maybe the new spokesman (the son of the old one that got killed) killed his own father in order to take his place. He does seem awful driven and his gf or wife keeps saying how he could be a governor, and he did make the comment of "Who is the only one to stand to gain anything from my father's death?" Well he obviously gained some attention and a new position out of it.

Wooo... okay the first episode was definately off the hook. I mean in one hour they set up at least 4 new directions and spins to take the show to. I'll start by commenting on what pops in my mind right now.

Lafayette... thank gawd he isn't dead. Personally I think the producers or whoever did a great job settin' everyone up to think it was him with the nails painted and "vampire view" kidnapping. But anyway, him pushing that wheel with other people in what I believe is the basement of "Fangtasia"... STRAIGHT CREEPY! I mean did you see how he cowered every time someone opened the door, I can't wait to see how this plays out.

[Show spoiler]And the preview for next week, WOW if he gets turned, he could be one of my favorite characters on a television show EVER!

Maryanne... Well as some people have said on the board so far this chick must be some type of Madean? or something. Well I'm gonna look that up after posting this so I know more about what it is, but anyway I just thought it was weird how she hasn't aged since she banged young Sam maybe 20 years ago. And as far as her assistant, I was asking my wife what she thought of the possibility that the pig that was with Maryanne in the field is that assistant. I don't know but this chick intrigues the hell out of me.

Sookie... STILL NEEDS A BACKHAND, but at least Sam layed the smackdown on her this week. Kinda feel bad for the guy lost pretty much everything in like 2 weeks. Anyway, Sookie and Bill's relationship could definately get a lot rockier with Bill's new disciple hanging around the house all the time, should be good.

Jason... I can't wait to see more of him in the "training camp" fo sho!

Also, have to say that the theory of the church members being werewolves seems like it could kinda would work. And also the son of the original pastor could have definately killed his own pop for the seat at the top!
