I just thought.... I wonder if maybe Kino got I Love Lucy? That would be wonderful if we could get a Complete Series on Blu-ray.

It's a giant epic, with some hilarious scenes especially the one with

Fehmiu was a very good looking guy, but very wooden as an actor, and his US career failed.
Well, after seeing the spectacular trailer I had to pick up the DVD, so according to Sod's Law that has to improve the odds on a blu.

Paramount were so convinced it would be a blockbuster that they tried to persuade Lewis Gilbert to make another bestseller adaptation for them (albeit on a very modest $2m budget when he estimated it needed $7m), but Gilbert wasn't eager to tackle another doorstop novel (and was still pissed off at Paramount not letting him make Oliver! at Columbia), so they ended up giving that one to Francis Ford Coppola instead...

Great comment. Beautifully expressed.

If it turns out Scrooged is one of the titles, I might end up having to get a UHD player for my parents for Christmas! They love that movie more than anyone else I know.

So how about releasing it. You mentioned it a few pages that the rights were hard to get, yet you now say it's available to be released, so what's the hold up? Two big names in movies are in it and it's a precode Era film. Thanks again!

Thanks for buying the DVD! I hope that you helped push the Blu through.

I didn't know all that about Gilbert and his next project, but it makes sense.

Also, I don't think I had ever seen the trailer to "The Adventurers" before - I don't think Paramount put it on the old DVD. It's on youtube, it won't let me link to it, weird, its poor quality, and doesn't show all the awfully hilarious scenes, but enough to get the idea!

I just hope that some Bogdanovich films he did for Paramount are somewhere down the pipeline. With Targets being postponed, I don't know how much hope to put down. Considering his passing at the beginning of the year, he's one of the most underrepresented acclaimed directors on the Blu-ray format.

I don't think so.

Yeah, let's announce 65 titles in one day, that makes lots of business sense.

All other labels would've waited for their first announcement from the deal before confirming a deal with the studio, we usually let the fans know a deal has been signed a few days after signature.

So glad to see that somebody else is a fan of Bernard Girard's The Party Crashers...it's on my most wanted list too though the chances are probably slim to none. Sadly, it was the final theatrical feature for two of Hollywood's most tragic figures, Bobby Driscoll and Frances Farmer.

Yes, the list of titles/rights were finalized and the deal was signed. I think most people are listing their wish lists, not recommendations.

Terrific news, congrats Kino. Looking forward to the titles, hopefully there's a lot of noir films, my favorite genre. It would also be nice if they end up improving some titles that required more work/remastering like I married a Creature from Outer Space, Sorry Wrong Number (I own the Imprint versions, but A/V wise they don't look the best, especially the latter). Anyway, if they end up releasing Targets and Dragonslayer, I would considering myself happy.
