Just curious, did you ask for any Miramax titles, or was Miramax never on the table? Thanks!

Did anyone ask how long it will be before the first titles from the Paramount deal start to be revealed?

Congrats Kino, exciting news!

So many Paramounts I want & will buy! The one obscure title I’ve seen mentioned a couple times that I really want is BLISS OF MRS. BLOSSOM.

I remember reading that I Married a Monster from Outer Space had rights issues in the US that have prevented a release. Don't know if that is still the case.

I have the Imprint Oz version, didn't notice any problems on it. I would upgrade this to a domestic release if Kino does do it.

Hopefully this question isn't too specific, but anything stopping The Bellboy from coming in this batch or being licensed in a future deal with Paramount?

hoping for a good chunk of Jerry Lewis from either KL or Paramount themselves (The Ladies Man, The Bellboy, The Patsy, The Errand Boy)

I also own the Imprint version and while it isn't problematic per se, the master clearly needs work. Like most Imprint releases, the encoding/compression isn't the best and the master is dated/older and it shows. Also, around the part where they get married there's a rather noticeable shift in quality for a few minutes. Hopefully they could smooth that out or make it less noticeable as well.
As for the clearance thing, the dvd is still in print and has been reissued so I don't there's any issues.

What was the reason they wouldn’t let you upgrade their DVD titles the first time around?

Looking at the possibilities for 3D films from Paramount, it would seem like it the 3D title(s) would come from these films below:

Hondo (1953) (Released on Blu-ray, no 3D - there has apparently since been a 3D DCP made)

Flight To Tangier (1953) (requires expensive restoration apparently, no prior disc release)

The Man Who Wasn't There (1983) (no prior disc release)

Any Kirk Douglas or Charles Bronson films that haven't been released on Blu-ray in the US yet? We know how much Kino loves them. I know Brotherhood with Kirk, and that one really needs a US release.

There is no such thing as enough Alain Delon. The Kino Lorber insider already mentioned Borsalino is out, but maybe something from the Gaumont deal.

Thank you for that. I always feel very lucky that you're able to answer so many of our questions and I don't think there is a single other label that does this, so you have mine and I'm sure others gratitude for that.

Detective Story! A terrific noir that Imprint released and could use a new master.

It would save people from requesting it in this thread over and over again.

That's a good one! I'd buy that in a second flat. I heard the transfer was OK though. Not great, but not bad either.
