It would save people from requesting it in this thread over and over again.
Funny story is that I've posted about this in other threads like Paramount Presents and people will still hope Paramount Presents will release even after I posted that it's not coming from Paramount directly. I didn't feel like typing a longer explanation about it. It's coming from another label. Simple.

That would be an easy day 1 purchase for me. Many of my elementary school years were filled with random viewings of that film. A year or two back I went looking for it on Blu Ray as my daughter saw one version or another and was disappointed to see it still hadn't been released on blu ray yet. Hopefully Kino can right this wrong.

KL insider - are any DreamWorks titles part of this deal? Either way, are DW titles considered by Paramount to be a "separate group" of titles like Republic and Miramax, or do they group them with their original Paramount catalog?

This deal is so hype.

If you do Zifferelli's Romeo and Juliet please do a restoration for it if possible.

Kino Insider - are there any new-to-disc 60s or 70s horror or sci-fi films in the new Paramount deal? Thanks.

Flight To Tangier (1953) (requires expensive restoration apparently, no prior disc release)

The Man Who Wasn't There (1983) (no prior disc release)
I could see Hondo being one of the 16 4K UHD titles with a new BD that includes 3D also in the package.

I’ll take more Belmondo while they’re at it also

Yes, they only own US distribution rights (International rights are with Warner as they own co-producer Hanna Barbera). Paramount reportedly completed a 4k remaster not long after they did a 4k HDR of the 2006 movie.

Paramount will probably release it themselves since Kino said they weren't doing anymore animated features or series, nonetheless in 4k.

They're considered a separate group like the Miramax titles.

Borsalino is Paramount worldwide. It has an HD master and was with Olive at some point, but had dropped it for reasons unknown.

Paramount also owns US distribution rights to Waterloo, but that one had some sort of clearance issue and no usable film elements or an HD master. Sony owns international rights and recently did a 4k remaster put out by other labels overseas.

If the Paramount deal includes Dreamworks titles, then I really hope Wes Craven's Red Line is included. Very underrated film, and LONG overdue for a Blu-ray.

If it includes Miramax titles, I'm hoping it includes Teaching Mrs. Tingle and 'O'. Both have been OOP since the Echo Bridge days and are hard to find for decent prices.

I also wonder if it includes any of the noirs that Imprint released in their noir boxsets in Australia that I've been eyeing for a bit. I guess it's hypothetically possible Kino could include them in their own noir sets.

Also Sorry Wrong Number with a brand new remaster. I've almost pulled the trigger on the Imprint collector's edition, but it uses an ancient master from the 90s that looks awful, and I've been holding out for something better.

The Hanna-Barbera Charlotte's Web would be very nice too.

So if Kino were to release Waterloo wouldn't they use the same master as the Imprint release in Australia or is that off-limits since it was mastered by Sony?

Any chance for Team America: World Police to get a Blu-ray release that at least ports over content from the DVD unlike the WB/Paramount release?
That would be a dream come true.

I just recently picked up the unrated DVD version of it instead of the current BD. I’d welcome a better BD edition from Kino.

None of those are available on blu in the uk: half of them never even got a DVD release there.
