I have yet to watch the January Man, and will need to pick it up at some point. However, I have seen this clip more times than I probably should have.

Personally, I don't care because it's the movie that matters to me, but when it comes to certain other countries such as Australia or Germany, it's the law of the land for them to have those ratings in certain positions and of a certain size on the packaging.

Chicken or the egg here. I’ll step out for the rest of the day because I don’t want anything else to be misinterpreted.

Do you expect that all of the titles in your Paramount deal will be scheduled for 2023 or could any of them be released by the end of this year?

Also, can you say when you will announce another title from your Sony deal? Maybe a 70s or 80s title?
We expect all of the non-UHD titles to be released this year, some of the 4KUHD ones will be early next year. We were hoping to release Tropic Thunder in August, it may still happen. We expect to have all the Paramount titles released by mid to late 2023 and a bunch this year.

We'll start announcing more Sony titles soon.

If we talking Rod Steiger, the first thing I really knew him from was Carpool. It was a movie my family bought on VHS as a kid and we watched it a ton, along with Best of Johnny Carson, and sometimes Star Wars trilogy.

I would love it if Kino will be releasing Teacher's Pet (1958). I believe it's a VistaVision title with Doris Day and Clark Gable. Not asking for confirmation but I just wanted to put it out there. Day 1 purchase for me it its released on Blu-ray!

Glad to see that we'll be getting a lot of Paramount titles this year. There is a ton of mystery with this deal in terms of titles, so it will be great that we'll know more about them soon enough, unlike a few other labels that take a long time.

Again, what about the discs with the ugly...

I'm not saying this because I work for a U.S. label, I've always waited for the U.S. releases, I used to purchase some PAL DVDs, but can count the UK/Aussie Blu-rays I own in one hand. The last disc I purchased from Europe was the DVD release of Bear Island about a decade or so ago.

I have never bought a disc outside of the UK, and even from the UK, I think aside from one or two discs I can think of off the top of my head, they've only been within the big gun boutiques: Arrow, Eureka, 88, Indicator. I don't think I have anything outside of those.

This might just be an American-centric perspective, based on comic books and CDs over here, but I always assumed that the ratings on UK/Aussie/etc discs were so that people didn't rent movies to children which ratings boards deemed inappropriate, and that even when rental houses died out, the laws stayed on the books. But they certainly seem more outdated now that nobody rents and people buy on-line anyway.

Random Question: Is there interest in doing standalone releases of any of the Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies that were previously on the OOP SF collection?

We had asked for them a year or so ago, they're under license to another label. Also, MGM does not control the rights to Return of the Pink Panther.

I haven't thought of Bear Island in years, although I have very fond memories of watching it over and over and over again in the early 1980's. When I first subscribed to HBO, they rotated it constantly every few months. It had received some scathing reviews, but I thought it was kind of fun. Great cast! Would make a great Kino blu-ray! ...

I saw that one person already mentioned it, but I just want to throw it out there: I'd love to see a 4k of Congo (1995) in the Paramount deal!

Who does then? Universal? The Shout Factory release has MGM copyright info on the disc for Return.
