We don't see enough "The villain has plastic surgery at the start of the film" type thrillers these days.

The MCU doesn't have any memorable villains except Loki and Thanos.

Ultron and Zemo too.

Both much better than Ares and Steppenwolf.

I love the MCU, but I think Thanos is a whiny b*stard. I'm really annoyed by martyrs. "Oh, woe is me. I have to kill half the universe because it has to be done, and it gives me no pleasure to do so." Boo-hoo. That's why I liked Endgame much more than Infinity War; he's not in Endgame nearly as much.

He's such a cry-baby.

Being named "Killmonger" automatically disqualifies that character from... well... anything.

Except mockery.

Who cares about the name, except maybe you? I'd rather see villain with a crap name with real motivation than a crap villain with a cool name.

Spader was wasted as Ultron. Such an amazing voice. But once he became sentient he should have executed the most expedient plan to wipe human out and quips definitely shouldn't have been part of that equation.

I only "care" insofar as it's SO dumb it makes looking past it impossible. I reaches the rare level of maximum dumbness where nothing else matters. It is the ne plus ultra of stupid comic book names.

Ultron has Tony programming, so his quips and his ideals of protecting the world were part of what got ported over.
Stark comments that he was one second late when Ultron makes a funny in the Johannesburg tanker.

Really I think that film was more concerned with the various other things it was setting up, the villian felt like a bit of an afterthought.

I have to say though I do find myself watching that film more than the original these days, maybe because of that setup but also I spose because the original does a bit over the top with its "banter conflict" between the characters, a lot of what it did following films did better IMHO.

If Connery was considered Oscar worthy in The Untouchables, then he should have got three Oscars for Last Crusade.
