Honestly, I never wanted to see this, but I bought it only because of the mentions of it in Allan Arkush's commentary on the "Get Crazy" Blu-ray. Arkush seemed plenty pleased with KL's ability to find the (Get Crazy) elements after he failed to do so. If you don't own the "Get Crazy" BD, you should.

All of the Imprint releases I have have the spine text displayed USA fashion. Also, all the George Pal releases I have (slipcover versions) do not have any ratings shown anywhere - not on the slipcover, not on the front cover, not on the back cover and not on the disc. The one standard version Imprint disc I have (I Married a Monster From Outer Space) does have the rating on it, but it's pretty small and unobtrusive.

I'm still looking forward to what Kino releases and will happily double-dip.

Thumbs up KL Dollars Trilogy Now Complete!

Hello there, good people! My Kino Lorber pre-order from March arrived here today at The Kitty Cat Condo™ courtesy of the USPS: A Fistful Of Dollars 4K UHD, For A Few Dollars More 4K UHD, Grand Slam and Flower Drum Song. Chico was thrilled about the Italian Westerns and he immediately demanded a Dollars double-feature for tonight. Harpo was more in the mood for a heist film ... or maybe a musical, he hasn't really made up his mind at this particular juncture. Perhaps a kitty cat compromise is in order here.

At the end of the day it all comes down to preferences. For me, those clunky ratings, be it on the box or disc are really annoying. Thankfully, it looks like Paramount will be releasing a decent amount of those Imprint titles here so it's going to be a win win situation soon enough. Patience pays off for most releases.

I have no problems with BD or UHD imports. DVDs with the PAL speed-up though are complete trash.

Just like Nancy Kwan and the Flower Drum Song Blu-ray, no slipcovers came with my two kitties. But as my cat, Chico, always says --

For the very same reason that there's also no Zeppo or Gummo at The Kitty Cat Condo™ : limited space and a sparse budget. However, if I were wealthier and could afford a much bigger domicile, I'd be quite the 'crazy cat gentleman' with at least a dozen felines running around the place!

Surprisingly, as a kid, I once took care of a cat name Groucho, after the Marx brother, but she was actually a female. The family thought she was a male at first for some reason

I finally got around to revisiting North Shore (1987) via KL release. It's a deep cut and I can't imagine anyone else giving it the attention it deserves. This is why I love KL!

The commentary was pretty great—especially in how it revealed that several of the actors' roles mirrored their real life experiences. (like the lead actor/main character who was a mainlander obsessed with pro surfing and the supporting actor/mentor character who grew up as a real-life "soul surfer" on Catalina Island)

Turtle's 100% commitment to Pidgin was wilder than I'd remembered! Apparently, the producer told the actor he'd only hire him IF he could prove he was right for the role. His response was to move to Hawai'i 2 months before shooting and immersing himself in surfing & Pidgin. He went on to act in other surfer movies like Point Break, Blue Crush, etc. And he still runs a surf school/gives private lessons in 2022.

The Israel "iz" Kamakawiwoʻole cameo performance was a nice easter egg too.

p.s. It looks like there's a few of Turtle's SURF OR DIE t-shirt available if any of you Barneys want one.

If Paramount has the film Arnold (1973) and Kino can get it that would be great! It’s a very dark comedy. It has a great cast, only released decades ago on Lightning Video VHS. Which I still have.

^ I haven't seen Arnold in almost fifty years. It's actually one of, if not the earliest movie going memory I have. I was in the first grade.

For what seemed like the longest time I had a huge crush on Stella Stevens from this film.
Despite only one viewing before I could even read, watching her character's fate in the shower has stayed with me to this day.

Would absolutely love the opportunity to see it again in a proper fashion.

Farewell to Depeche Mode's Andy Fletcher.

Shout-out to KL for releasing the underrated gem Modern Girls (written by Laurie Craig & Anita Rosenberg) which prominently featured DM's "But Not Tonight."

I had to go and see it as a kid since I loved The Poseidon Adventure the year before and Stella Stevens and Roddy McDowall teamed up again.

Love your reference to T.H.E. Cat. I had completely forgotten about the TV series with Robert Loggia that ran in the mid '60s with Loggia as a cat burglar (naturally), and T.H.E. as his initials.

Thanks bringing back those memories!

Count me as one of the 85%.

I would buy any film with Stella Stevens in it because I have a giant crush on her. A red headed Stella Stevens in The Silencers was probably the hottest thing I have ever seen in my life, and put me on a mission to see all of her movies. I've seen AWFUL looking versions of Arnold pop up on YouTube and never watched it. I would love to see a real DVD/blu-ray from Kino.

The release of Rage from Imprint looks stellar and is region free.

I thought it was a intriguing movie, loved how they handled the ending, and Stella was SMOKING hot in it.
Even if Kino picks it up, it's currently under $12 at Deep Discount.
Especially for that price, I highly recommend it.
