Jennifer Connelly in Once Upon a Time in America | 1080P HD (80s) - YouTube

She was also in one of Darren Aronofsky's flix; 'Requiem for a Dream'

Now she's riding in the back of Maverick's motorcycle in Top Gun number two.

Yes! I like the way TG:Maverick handled the romance. It's a movie for mature audience. We do not need everything draw out with pop-up book to tell us that they are in love. I also loved
[Show spoiler]the window escape. Beautiful 80's nostalgia movie making.

A lot of people seem to point at the romance as a weak point but as brief as it is, I think the chemistry is great between Cruise and Connelly. I buy their history more than what we get in most most rom coms and never thought "can we get back to the flying" when those scenes happen.

a very effective Top Gun Maverick drinking game would be to take a drink every time Tom Cruise clenches his jaw in this movie. It's like every scene several times over lol.

Yeah I just found this article about how he was able to speak for the film. I was thinking it had to be something like they mention in the article.

I've never heard of Smile either until people said the trailer was with this.

Thanks for the trailer report.

Delaying the movie 3 years was probably the best thing they could've done.

Loved seeing this with Dolby Atmos audio. The 1pm matinee was PACKED and I was seeing "sold out" for tons of later shows on the screen above the box office. My theatre has this on 5 screens too.

Older audiences aren't dead, they've just been waiting for the right movie to return to theatres.

I really hope Paramount waits longer than 45 days to put this on Paramount+.

Or every time they show him shirtless but only above the top chest area. Show us everything!

Whooo this was a great movie and I loved just about every second of it. It was a real and memorable experience.

But we had someone ANSWER THEIR PHONE AND HAVE A FULL-BLOWN CONVERSATION during the most emotional part of the film. People like that should just be kicked out immediately.

Would have kicked them out personally. That’s just total ignorance.

Yeah if people bother me enough during a film showing, I get up and tell an usher. When I saw this on Friday, the woman next to me was cackling during every single scene and smelled like she was drunk at 2:30 in the afternoon. Only reason I didn't complain is I doubt the ushers would've done anything.

There is no excuse, is there? It’s just moronic behaviour.

Nope which is why I didn't say anything. They do have a policy against outside food and cell phones though, which is pretty standard but doesn't apply here.

Way above my pay grade, but when all the behind the scenes push and pull is completed, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if that scenario (> 45 days) is likely.

Meanwhile –

Considering the Botox or whatever he’s had injected in there over the years, it must be very painful for him to do that.

Or maybe he has no nerve receptors there anymore lol

Yeah this is one of those movies I would watch over and over again. This, The Dark Knight and T2 are the best sequels ever made imo.

One thing that TG:M has that I first noticed with Tron:Legacy. Joe Kosinski has superb mental image of how to shoot action sequences from a movie viewer's perspective but there is a feeling that they are just a bit too short at times. TG:M never dragged and felt more like a 90-minute film than one that lasted 130 minutes, something that's true for Kosinski's other films as well. I think he can easily get away with a few more minutes added to his action sequences and a longer film without anything seem dragging.

In TG:M for example,
[Show spoiler]the actual bombing runs though the valley could have been just a bit more spectacular.
