Riddle me this... 120Hz LCD

So my question is kind of hard to explain. When in Fry’s I am watching the display Blu-Ray playing and it’s Transformers (already a plus for me) and the picture just looks “real”. I feel like I am literally right behind the camera, like there is better lighting or something. It just looks like I can step to the side and see a different angle. I don’t know what this is. My question is this, Is this just the 120Hz or is it something else as well? I bought the Transformers Blu-Ray and played it on my 720p Plasma and didn’t see what I was seeing in Fry’s. And if it is the 120Hz, why can’t I see it on Plasma? Doesn’t Plasma go at something like 400+Hz?

Yer not gonna get that "look" on plasmas mate! You need to change teams and go for a Sony or Sammy LCD..they come with these things called "motion enhancers"/"motion flow" which gives you that "soap opera" [not my words!] look. My Sony [60 hz] does the deed. I don't care for it, but my point is that you will get a similar look with an lcd thats 60hz as well.
