Yeah, it being Currently Unavailable makes more sense in the usual pattern that these listings get posted on Amazon. Was surprised to see it available to order (albeit Temp OOS).

Maybe Mann doesn't like HDR. Collateral looks like there is none. Very interesting to see what Heat looks like in 4K. I'm prepared to be dissapointed but who knows, sometimes there has to be pleasant surprises.

I don't want to tell Mann how his movie is suppose to look, but we all saw so many beautiful HDR grades of 35mm catalogue titles on UHD... It's a shame movie with such immaculate visuals like Heat will end up looking muted and flat. (which is nothing I couldn't fix with HDR settings on Panny 820)

BUT I will be more than happy having it in native 4K and with better compression.

Well you can boost the picture using 820 with HDR10 but it might be considered as against creator's intent which in this case is going against HDR. It's like an oxymoron.

I don't have anything against the artwork for the potential 4K release. It's fine, but could be a bit more exciting.

I really like the night time artwork on the US Blu. Wish they'd kept that actually.

Mann screwed with Thief pretty extensively. Arrow even put out both versions (TC & DC) out on Blu to ensure fans would not trash the release for favoring one and not the other.

I love Mann as a filmmaker, I really do, but I wonder sometimes if he doesn't make these alterations just to screw with us. Maybe to see who'll notice or just to have a laugh (and I say this knowing full well how uncharacteristic it would be, but some of these alterations... like the framerate changes in Thief... Come on!)

He's not changing anything. It's exactly raw same 4K master that he already made and approved.
