Default AVS removes almost all positive blu-ray threads

Posted this, "Medusa Distribution, an Italian film distributor and exclusive HD DVD supporter, will release 'Kingdom of Heaven' as their first Blu-ray title. The move comes after the film's director, Ridley Scott, insisted that they release the title on Blu-ray. The acclaimed director joins the ranks of Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola as filmmakers who insist their films get distributed on Blu-ray," and it was removed in less than 10 minutes. LOL
This is the second out of 2 times that I have posted positive news about blu-ray that was factual, not defamatory, and yet was removed within minutes from AVS.
They have no right to pretend to be neutral. Hd-dvd has to resort to underhanded, shady mudslinging in order to stay afloat.

Default That's biased of them

That's not good, their misleading people in a way.

At least Bluray.com is more open minded.

it's not really that...cause I mean really, Blu-Ray.com isn't some bastion of neutral objectivity.

What Blu-Ray.com isn't though...is a site that pretends it's something that it's not.

In all fairness though, I posted in a thread today which was clear anti-Blu FUD on avs...and that thread was deleted.

Here's the deal. They've reached the tipping point where HD DVD is their audience now. They know that posting positive blu-ray news will incite them to scream, curse, and moan. So they just delete it.

It keeps the arguments down and it keeps their base happy.

I see a thread there with this topic right now. I'm guessing your thread may have been deleted because it was already posted.

Your thread was deleted because it was a duplicate of this one that is still there:

Didn't see that till now. Still not the same, though, as that post doesn't mention Francis Ford Coppola, and only says that Ridley Scott requested that the movie be done on blu-ray.
At anytime I can go on AVS and find 42 almost identical posts about Paramount.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the obvious bias over there, and I do agree they need to stop a lot of the crap, but I really think your thread was deleted because of duplication.

Why don't you go to the open thread and post your comments about Coppola and see what happens? Be polite, provide a source, and we'll see how the mods over there respond.

Makes sense though, I mean if anyone were to post PRo HD DVD things in here it would probably get removed as well. But in the end I think everyone is entitled to their opinion whatever that may be.

it took me all but 2 posts in having raised a question about Kornblau's comments regarding Universals exclusive stance with HD DVD that they too were deleted. havent been back.

someone needs to email the moderators and have them delete the Blu-Ray subsection of the forum altogether to kill any false pretense. reeediculous.

It was posted in THEIR blu-ray section. NOT in the hd-dvd section.

Well, there's a thread there on this topic that includes Coppola as well:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=902414

So, yours was a duplicate of that too.
