1. Do I need a receiver that decodes the HD codecs or does the PS3 do this on it own therefore meaning I only need a receiver that accepts HDMI inputs.

2. If I buy a receiver that decodes the HD codecs will i get better results by letting the PS3 or the receiver do the work?

3. Whats the settings do I need to adjust on the PS3 to get the best results.

4. Any suggestions on a receiver, £200 - £250 (maybe a little more for the right kit)

Sorry for all the questions but I've been feeling for a while that I'm missing a huge part of the Blu-Ray experience with my current set up.
The PS3 does the decoding internally so as as long as your receiver has hdmi connection it should work fine. Even tough your receiver has the new codecs the ps3 can't bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTSHDMA so it won't make a difference unless you plan to buy a stand alone player in the future. As for the settings on the ps3,go to hdmi audio and set it to linear pcm. For the receiver, since i'm Canadian i can't suggest a price range but you should find something good with brands like Denon Pioneer Yamaha etc.

Hope that helped.
