yes
but they reinserted deleted scenes to the Lethal Weapon series and called those "Director's cut" even if Richard Donner was not involved/ didn't approve unless of course there is in contract that Zemekcis/ Gale hold final cut right |

I wonder how many scenes he did, from pics it looks like he did twin pines mall and lous coffee shop but did he get to film lorraines house, the skateboard chase, the new 85 mcfly house or the clocktower sequence near the end?

It was a bit complicated because even though he was still on set he was essentially a prop for other actors to get their coverage shot. So even the 6 weeks he was there included him acting without being shot. He must have known in the back of his kind what was going on.

Might want to try importing the U.K. set then as I received mine on release and all discs played flawlessly on my Panasonic.

The two players that I had trouble with the US set are a my Sony and the neighbor's Panasonic. At this point I am just going to play the BDs that come with it, at least they work.

Zemeckis and Gale pretty much have final say on anything to do with Back to the Future. That's why there won't be a remake any time soon. Neither of them have ever expressed a desire to release any alternate cuts of these films.

I’d go one step further having both back to future 1 and 2 look correct like back to the future 3 with them having no video issues and having the grain intact.

I sadly agree I mean it’s sad the hdr/Dolby vision was great but the rest of the picture quality is garbage and not having the original stereo tracks is sad too.
