Every new release title that I buy is a blind buy. I put a lot of money and effort into my HT. Now I feel that my picture and sound are better than at the local theater. I never go to the theater anymore, but if something comes out that I would have went to see, then I buy the blu-ray instead. Blu's are really not that expensive when you can factor what you saved by not buying one or more movie tickets into the price. Titles like Dark Knight, Quantum of Solace, Taken were all blind buys for me. Wolverine and Transformers 2 will be as well. Sometimes you get a dud, but how much more did it really cost to buy it as opposed to seeing it at the local theater? This is especially relavent if the title is something that you might have taken your girlfriend or the family to see.

I've only made 2 blind buys: Star Wars The Clone Wars & Zack and Miri Make a Porno. I loved them both!

Same here. Haven't seen a movie in the theater since Harry Potter Goblet of Fire

The only blind buy I've ever done was for The Cook, because it stars Buster Keaton, so I know the movie will at least have some laughs for me.
