Someone is enjoying a free digital copy. He gave away his digital code to whomever found and redeemed it first.

I placed the order a week before release date when it was still $25.96. Never had a projected delivery date, just pending starting 9/6

Thank you. That didn't even occur to me because all I'm thinking about are disc media.

I hope the copy I get is in good shape.
I pre-ordered from Amazon UK and received mine earlier this week. It arrived in a padded envelope but arrived in decent shape. I also went back to The Digital Bits review and happened to see this added to it:

[Editor’s Update 9/8/22: All five discs in the UK version of this set are confirmed ALL REGION. Again, there are no Digital codes. The UK version also features much sturdier cardboard packaging than the US release.]

Learning that, I felt even more grateful I went for the UK set over the US, especially after reading all of the posts here complaining about damaged US boxed sets. It also happened to be cheaper than ordering stateside, which is ironic since it comes with 5 discs rather than 3!

I posted pictures of my set on Instagram. You can see how well it arrived.

I completely forgot about that book scene!! LOL Yes, that too absolutely! Ridiculous!

I know the paper thing is a fetish or preference of Nicholas Meyer's. What can you do? He's the director!

The indication at present (and from what producer David Fein indicated in the pre-order period) seems to be No. But "Never Say Never Again" I suppose...

Unless I am mistaken this is the first time that the SLV cut has been released on home video in decades. More decades could pass before it is released again. I am too old to take that risk, so I bought it while the getting was good.

AND the first time it's ever been released in Widescreen and of course HD/Ultra-HD.

Ugh! I just want my set to arrive as mint as possible. I don’t understand why they ship it in a envelope and not a box.

Anyone know any good UK stores that will ship internationally? Zaavi don’t have it and Amazon Uk hasn’t shipped to Australia in years. My Amazon USA order isn’t progressing and I would prefer to get the stronger UK packaging.

Amazon UK has it available for backorder if they ship to your location.

I paid the extra for gift wrapping in the hope it helps it come in good shape

So I flicked through the 4k DE, 4k TE and 2009 Blu.

From a visual perspective I like them in this order

DE 4K
2009 BLU
TE 4K

From a colour and detail perspective the DE and 2009 versions feel like they are from the same cloth, the Theatrical is a completely different beast.

Honestly flick between the 2009 and DE and they feel like brothers, almost like the DE master is the 2009 before the DNR was applied. The Theatrical I find too yellow, overly grainy and just a dull presentation and doesn't feel the same as the other two.

I might be in the minority but the 2009 blu is a more pleasant watch than the 4k Theatrical in my eyes.

I prefer the plain white titles to the gameshow opening on the DE but I feel it more 3 dimensional than the TE and more defined overall.
