The Invisible Man is the one of these movies that actually puts a bit of fear into me.

I also like to point out that there is an obvious reference point back to Dr. Mabuse, Fritz Lang's cinematic versions (two at this point in history) in particular. Jack Griffin essentially becomes Mabuse, driven mad by a desire for ultimate power over the world, and the way he executes the early parts of his plans (killing one man and throwing a couple of rail switches which leads to a huge train crash) is actually scary in a very real world sense. It's a man toying with the edges of society's fabric. He even echoes Mabuse's lines about the Empire of Crime from The Testament of Dr. Mabuse.

I can admire the pathos of Frankenstein and the sheer entertainment of Bride of Frankenstein all day, but The Invisible Man sticks with me.

John Dies at the End deserves a sequel.

When it comes to Halloween there are really only three timelines care for. 1) Halloween where Michael is shot and the disappears never to be seen again. 2) Halloween III as a standalone and 3) Rob Zombie's two Halloween films. The rest can die in a fire unlike Mikey who seems to always escape it.

I split it into three categories.

LIKE:
Halloween 1978
Halloween II 1981
Halloween III Season of the Witch
Halloween 2018
Halloween Kills
Halloween Ends
Halloween 2 2009

DISLIKE (but as a sucker for slasher films I can easily watch them):
Halloween 4
Halloween 5
Halloween 6
Halloween H20
Halloween Resurrection

SHOULD BE FIRED INTO THE SUN:
Halloween 2007

Seriously, that first Rob Zombie movie is the movie equivalent of watching someone lick a hobo's teeth. And I actually really like Malcolm McDowell in it and some of the directing..

Love: Halloween (1978) - my favorite movie
Like: Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Didn't see: Halloween: Resurrection, Rob Zombie's Halloween II
Various forms of dislike: every other Michael Myers movie

The only HALLOWEEN film I really like is the original. I can take or leave the rest.

I hated the Batman from Matt Reeves, ugh it was bad and you could have not even had batman in it and it would work.

A good amount of posters on this forum have gone down an "anti woke" conspiracy theory rabbithole and now care very little about discussing cinema, there opinions are so obviously triangulated by their politics and are IMHO pretty much worthless.

Sounds very introspective

To the topic, Conspiracy Theory was a fun film. That's probably a controversial opinion. Mad Mel was on point, Captain Picard plays an actual villain, what's not to love?
