No, they are not. And also there was very, very little of the modern show that was shot on true film elements, and I’m sure none are known to exist. (I believe the series one teaser (“run of your life”) does still exist somewhere, but not sure if I’ve made that up).

I'm sure a select few shots were film but only when there was specific need such as the slow motion shots of the monks in Tooth and Claw (their usual video cameras of the time clearly not having that ability). I'm sure they used Super16, not 35mm.

There's little point bothering if the film does exist for a few seconds worth of footage. It's not like the old show where they used film a lot more.

It sucks how the UK got screwed over with this boxset as we didn’t get the bonus disc, comic, art cards and Sonic screwdriver in our boxset..

The only one correct in the UK is Miracle Day, which is 1080p.

Seasons 1 and 2 and Children of Earth are 1080i60 when they should be 1080i50, so all the right speed but they don't look as good as they should.

Actually, Miracle Day is 1080i50 in the UK. Which would be great for series 1, 2 and Children of Earth, but ironically is the wrong frame rate for this production!

So none of the UK releases are correct, though only Miracle Day runs at the wrong speed (4% PAL speedup).

Yep, you're quite right. I'll hand my card in at the door

Sorry if I confused anyone!

Honestly, if they just got it right in the first place we wouldn't have this muddle all the time...

You're not the only one - Rewind have it wrong too. I actually loaded up the discs to double check - definitely 50i.

I'm considering buying the Series 1-4 DVD set just so that I have all the episodes in the correct frame rate (I have everything on Blu-ray already, 2009 Specials onwards all the correct 50i discs), is there anything else the DVDs have over the Blu-rays? I think I remember hearing that Born Again had the unfinished audio on Blu-ray; might have the finished audio on DVD? Any other extras that only appear on DVD that may make buying them more worth it?
