I liked the wedding scene but I didn't like the dance fight scene.

BUT...I saw Jim Carrey do something that I have not seen him do since Once Bitten. Big smile came on my face during that scene. It was like Jim was pulling out all the stops...like Paul McCartney playing the hits. I was never a huge fan of Once Bitten but never sold my DVD because of this scene.

EDIT: I actually forgot but just checked my spreadsheet, I have Once Bitten on bluray as it's paired with a movie I love Love At First Bite.

While I hate politics being interjected into films I did find it funny how Jim inserted "there are good people on both sides." We all know how he felt about the Orange Man Bad but it was still funny to me.

At this point they are just asking Jim Carrey to be Jim Carrey which is great...no more The Majestic in his future.

i bought that just for the bit when he falls down at Lauren Hutton's feet.

Just finished rewatching on Paramount+, so dang awesome. Apart from slowing down a bit in the middle it's a total blast.

Apart from the unnecessarily long "dance off" segment and the extraneous "bride going after the groom" sequence, I enjoyed this one overall.

I may even rank it over the first film. It seemed to be more entertaining in comparison.

Lazy, aimless, and weaker under every aspect than the (decent) original. The human cast is wasted and less engaged. No effort was put into this other than filling it with winks to the fanbase.

Meh... I'm baffled by the (adult) people praising this one. Even family entertainment can and should be better than this.

I'm a little less crazy about this one compared to when I first saw it, it's still lots of fun but having too much filler does drag it down a bit. I prefer the first overall due to its tight pacing.

I just also came out of watching exactly this, and I frankly don't have the faintest idea about what you are talking about. Maybe you tried to put in your disc of Sonic Forces on your console or Blu-ray player by mistake instead of the movie one? This movie was pure hype from beginning to end, a vast improvement over the already exciting original one, and I'm glad there was more Sonic and Pals instead of third-party human cast this time around. The 4K UHD Blu-ray was also extremely spectacular, from the visuals and the audio, and there was a great selection of interesting extra material. I can't wait to see how the third movie will turn out to be.

[Show spoiler]That ending hints it's most likely going to be based on Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, one of my favorite video games ever!!

I'm gonna give this a 9/10, actually much closer to 9.5/10 than a vanilla 9. I'm so glad I blind-preordered this film.

I'm surprised and glad to see I'm not the only one who would prefer shorter versions or cuts of the wedding scene that had nothing to do with Sonic the Hedgehog or Tails most of the time when the bride was chasing around the agents in an attempt at slapstick comedy that derailed the story's progress forward, and the dance off scene with the guy vs Sonic and Tails that went on for way too long. Cut those down to the bare minimum and it's no big deal.

Otherwise, the action was interesting and the characters of Sonic and Tails are good.

I prefer the first film over part 2. Shadow might be of interest if there is a 3rd.

I really wish they dumped all the humans from these films and made it fully CGI like Super Mario Brothers and Smurfs Lost Village. That's how to do a mascot character justice, and a group of cartoon characters.
