It’s also incredibly stupid to complain about nepotism in the entertainment industry when practically every industry has family businesses and personal relationships with people they hire and get accepted to certain schools, etc.

Don’t really care about nepotism in Hollywood if the person proves their talent and worth.

However, I do think it’s lame that this sounds like a movie her father would make and seems ripe for a twist. I don’t know why any second generation filmmaker would want to do that instead of establishing their own identity. I feel the same way about the Cronenberg kid. He’s making the same kind of films David Cronenberg became known for.

Sofia Coppola for example hasn’t made a single film that Francis Ford Coppola would’ve made and has her own distinct voice as a filmmaker.
