i mean..both characters have masks right..no reason why he couldn't..but you're probably right. the likelihood of it happening sound slim. tho i wonder..if he decided to take this role because they won't do the flash?

how could reynolds be a character for both marvel and dc?? isn't that violating something somewhere???

like wouldn't fox have written into his deadpool/wolverine deal that he can't be in another comicbook movie that might draw attention from his current role???

Ive never seen Ryan Reynolds in any role that makes me think he could play Hal Jordan. I guess that means they r gonna change Hal Jordan to fit Ryan Reynolds. Hope not, its a big mistake.

Put me down for Ryan Reynolds as the Flash (he'd be perfect) and Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan.

I am actually pretty surprised by the choice on both Ryan's part and the people behind GL. Very happy it is not JT though.

Also, James Marsden broke a rule too as Cyclops in X-Men and whoever in Superman Returns. No he wasn't a superhero in both but still... the rule...

Ryan Reynolds, I guess. Way!, better than Justin Timberlake. So, thank God for that. I was leaning toward Bradley Cooper, but you don't always get what you want. Reynolds will do a good job (I hope).

Damn, he's got a full comic book load, Deadpool and Green Lantern!

I'm assuming this thread used to be the 'JT up for role of Green Lantern Rumor' thread (which I never clicked on). Threads get a bit difficult to follow when the title and first post get edited heavily IMO

Playing a DC character doesn't negate the possibility of playing a Marvel one (see: Halle Berry's Catwoman and Storm), and if push came to shove, I have faith that Reynolds would drop Green Lantern in favor of Deadpool. Even long before Wolverine happened, he was talking about how he wanted to play that character.

And there is a way that a Deadpool movie could be good: ignore the X-men film series canon and make it a stand-alone picture that ignores the travesty we saw in Wolverine.

That's ok, because Deadpool isn't a superhero. He's a comic book character, yes, but plenty of characters in comic books aren't super heroes.

Blade's canon isn't current, so I don't mind that at all. It'd be like Eric Bana popping up in a new Marvel movie. Sure, he played Bruce Banner a while back, but that was a while ago and the canon isn't active anymore.
