What is the easiest way to convert movies from frame packing to sbs files?
Is a PC with Windows 7 or earlier a necessity or can Mac OS be involved?

You mean a Win 7 or later PC? Anyway, BD3D2MK3D is a well known tool which by default uses the CPU and takes up to 3 hours to convert a single movie. That's a minimum of 200 hours to convert 100 movies.

However, BD3D2MK3D is modular and based on a number of open source tools. I remember a few years ago I hacked together some GPU code I found in a forum replacing a module with Nvidia NVENC decoding code and that brought the conversion time down to about 30 minutes per movie. But that requires finding the code, some coding knowledge and an Nvidia NVENC based GPU.

did anybody here has received this yet ? well i guess we never will, take a look:

Kickstarter:

Indiegogo:

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/c..._wcB#/comments

ZecZec (Chinese Campaign) browser translator needed:

https://www.zeczec.com/projects/cinera-edge/comments

Campfire (Japanese campaign) browser translator needed:

https://camp-fire.jp/projects/540707/activities#menu

Cinera only updated the Campfire backers lately but if you read the Kickstarter comment section nobody in Japan got sh*t, all empty promises like to everybody else. Sounds like they collected all money, sent out some prototypes that were unusable, paid themselves and enjoyed a nice "vacation" on our buck, its even worse that some gave them extra $$$ on top of the initial pledge. It sucks, lesson learned here.

I got caught up in the Kickstarter offer, they even asked for more $ at the end for a memory upgrade which I bought , so i’m out about $700 . no more Kickstarter for me , if you think your product idea is so good go get a bank loan or an investor and get back to me when your product ships . I believe their intentions were good in the beginning ,but covid , parts shortages etc. cost overruns and they got in over there heads. I work in manufacturing/eng and its much more complicated than they imagined . where i work ( a big corp) we have serious part issues even with big corp clout. one missing part holds everything up.

It may not have been their intention but if the product is unusable then everybody got scammed. Period.
