There's so many versions of Superman, oh my god. Can't keep track of them all and having them all.

The Blu-rays included with this set will be the same Blu-rays from the 2011 set. The Fleischer cartoons will be the same SD transfers they've always been in this release. That's why this set is too expensive for someone like me who owns the 2011 set and the 2018 UHD. For $100 it offers only 3 discs I'm interested in: II, III, and IV in UHD.

Celebrating Superman’s 85th anniversary and the 45th anniversary of the release of “Superman: The Movie,” the 1978 classic starring Christopher Reeve will be screening in select theaters across the USA in April.

“Superman: The Movie” will be screening from Friday, April 14 to Wednesday, April 26 at various locations. Check Fandango.com or your local theater’s website for dates and times.

Some theaters have multiple timeslots across various days, but most have just the one screening on Tuesday, April 18.

Ok. This is what Zak Snyder is promo'ing then presumably - Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Justice League would follow.

Does anyone know how to adjust the inside of a Steelbook, id like to get double holders and move my BD of the TV movie into it. I imagine I would need a triple or Quad holder for this.

The S 143m theatrical is only on the BD Anthology and UHD 4K/BD, and the only place confirmed so far with the 70mm 6-track is on the 4K disc of the 2018 UHD ed:

while the 4K disc now (3-2023) is coming with the 35mm Stereo track in its place. I think all the others' soundtracks are new remixes.

The S 189m TV cut is only on this plus it has the 151m SE cut on the disc you have too, but with the 2011 Anthology remastered lossless track:

both of which will not be on the UHD set.

Plus these two also won't be in the UHD set:

These will be, but since the UHD set is not out, it's not known if these two features will be in SD or HD on it:
? ?

but probably most likely SD, as the HD Fleischers come out a week later

and as the UHD set seems to list list the same special features as the respective BDs it includes from the Anthology; which could be straight ports, or redone, which is being speculated.

II + RDC, III and IV UHDs will be also available in Europe and other countries.

Thanks. This really helps. Appreciate it.

Since II and III BDs had new remixes, not having them doesn't bother me and since the same cuts are going to be in the 4K set, I should be good with that. I can get II theatrical that way.

Looks like I can get that STM Warner Archive disc to get the TV cut and also replace the original BD release I own, since not only is that cut included but also given lossless treatment.

I prob should upgrade Returns to BD as I own it on HD DVD.

What is the Krypton intro? Is it something added to the feature or is it a bonus?

No point getting this set now if its just got the same release of SM1 as I already have. I may just pick up II and if I see III in a sale I may bite just for the nostalgia.

I always thought part 4, even if it's not up to par quality wise as I-III, was just so dang short runtime wise compared to the rest - I know most of the deleted scenes are kinda filler, just dialogue that doesn't really add a lot, but even a few breathing moments to fill out the entirety of the film might help a tad, would love to see a fan edit one day with several of the deleted scenes added in - not saying had it been long it would have been better but 92 min with credits, it's so quick!

Yeah, in a way I am thankful I still have the 2018 disc with the superior audio. The lack of remastering and better audio of the first movie in the set killed my desire for it. I will just pick up II and III. I never wanted the IV anyway.

Yep I will be going to my local Everyman Cinema to watch it, saw Blade Runner there in January and it was fantastic, never had an experience like it before.

It's only playing near me at this little dinky theater instead of the nice Dolby Cinema one. I'll wait and see if AMC pick this up like they have in the past.

The deleted scenes in Superman IV are much more than "dialogue" and "filler." They cut out most of the story! All of the Nuclear Man I storyline was cut as was Luthor's scheme to profit from black market missiles and Nuclear Man threatening the world.

Exactly the way I feel. Keeping my 2018 disc and buying the individuals for II and III.

Cancelled my pre-order for the box set.

Seen the first film in theaters 3 times (one of which was a 35mm screening of the 188 minute tv edit). So looks like it'll be 4 very soon. Thanks.

I’ve only seen it once on the big screen when I was very young. This will be a treat watching it in the big screen.
