That trailer scene, although a little over the top, is very intense and well done. The stupid McDonald's line drops it down a couple of notches. The poor Eddie scene brings it back up a notch. Talk about messed up.

Very disappointing but not unexpected that there doesn't seem to be a remaster for its 30th. If you're lucky then maybe the film cell replica will have proper grading. The 3D will remain my go-to disc whenever I feel the need to watch this film.

What's with Universal giving their Spielberg films the lunchbox aesthetic?

I thought this looked fake. Is it real?

If it isn’t a fake I don’t expect anything more than a lazy repackage from Universal.

What an ugly repack after the standard editions got nice and consistent covers, outside the modified III and off centered final film (all because they want an extra banner).

Why do they make it so easy to avoid these?

It would be nice if we got steelbook set with all the other films as well.

My god that's horrible. As bad as the SB art is, I think the slipcase is even worse

Saw it yesterday and yeah, that's just ugly. JP deserves so much better for its 30th anniversary.

Bravo, Universal. The effort you put into JP30 well and truly shows.

It’s universal wouldn’t have expected any less or more sadly up there with all the worst studios blunders. hence the blunders with the back to the future trilogy uhd blu ray video and audio. the list goes on with classic movies being trashed.

Universal only care about the IP, not the actual film.

Why would they give us a properly graded remaster with OG audio when they can put shit in a tin and make as much ca$h?

Me too. 2013's version is not a perfect master but it's by far the most unified. I'm sure it would have looked great if there was a dedicated 2D remaster. 2018 4K version was hard to watch ... some scenes literally had HDR on and off.

Thank God I went to the 3D re-release on IMAX a decade ago - four times. It literally changed my life and made me love the film more than I couldn't have thought possible. Still though, if there happens to be one, I'm 100% down to watch it.
