Shout slips are cheap and crappy, so you shouldn’t mind either way.

I enjoy the Shout Factory slipcovers but not as much as the Kino Lorber and Vinegar Syndrome ones. Those ones are the best of the bunch, IMO.

I checked some of the SF discs I bought from 2021-23 but haven’t noticed the scratches that a lot of us mentioned. Are the scratched discs from the past few years’ releases? What are some of the titles? I did notice what appears to be fingerprints on the Child’s Play discs but no scratches.

Black Christmas + Dawn of the Dead 4K sets....for me. Luckily, I purchased both sets from Bezos, and not Scratch Factory. I was able to get immediate replacements...within 2 days.

The first time I ever heard about scratched discs was back in 2018 when Trick r' Treat was released.

That stopped me from getting a copy until 2022.

Completely agree, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie needs a new scan.

You had me with Vinegar Syndrome, but I'm not sure what separates Kino Lorber slips from Shout Factory slips. They're both quite thin and flimsy.

Do SF posters have much resale value? I have a bunch of them just sitting around in their tubes collecting dust. I'm not really a poster guy anymore. Only reason I order direct sometimes is to get early shipping but I'm beginning not to care about that.

Depends on what you have. Some don't sell at all, some fetch $20-$30, and a few, especially if it's a bundle sell for more. Looking at completed auctions is a good gauge.

I actually wouldn't mind if there was an option to opt out of getting the poster. Even if it is "free" with the purchase of the film, I'd rather it go to someone who wants/needs it, than me personally.

Just saw something show up for Natural Born Killers at Bullmoose. Not really sure if it means anything, but I could see SF doing a 4K release. We know Warner is granting them 4K rights now with the 4K release of Creepshow. Like always, take this with a grain of salt.

What a great show. The opening is pure nostalgia for me. I've got a German upscaled Blu-ray of the series, but I'd love a proper U.S. release.

I thought they meant that they like the original posters that KL uses for most of their slips.
