Unhappy Broken Record

Didn't there used to be a section about vinyl?
Or was that on a different forum-website?...
Please move it there if I overlooked it, or if there is a better spot.

Anyway, there is bound to be someone here that knows about vinyl records.
I have this shaped transparent picture-disc, but I noticed a tip broke.
It's hanging on by the sort of paper image caught on the inside, being the picture.
The record is now staying inside its sleeve, but I wanted to set it up, because a stand is included.
Now, it might not be as much of a problem if it was somewhere in the top of the disc when put straight up.
But the broken part is exactly the part at the bottom you have to stick into the stand.
So, just my luck again...

The question being, is there any way I can fix this or let it be fixed specially?
I'm not sure if you can just like glue this material or anything.
It might also not look so great, I don't know.
One fortunate thing, though, is that the broken part is not in the playable area.
It's really like the excess of the disc's shape, but now fragile and "unDISplayable". :P

Yes, we have a vinyl section:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/forumdisplay.php?f=91

It is listed under Vinyl and Old School Music in the Blu-ray Music and High Quality Music section.

As to your question, I will let someone else try to field this one because I am not following what you are asking and your description.

There are some triangular discs and heart-shaped discs that were manufactured more as a novelty, if anything else, yet able to be played.

I'm assuming he bought one of these and wants to somehow display them somewhere. I personally don't see the purpose and like you Rich, I'm a little confused as to his question.

Wow, that section is quite a bit put away... Shouldn't it be under 'Audio'?
Anyway, thanks for showing me.

But it's quite simple actually.
This is a picture-disc you can display on an included stand.
Except, right the part you have to stick into the stand is broken.
Only hanging on by the material that is inside the record, the image itself.
I'd like to know how I can repair this.

I'm not sure if it's that much of a novelty.
Well, they usually are just for the image and shape.
And I heard the quality isn't as good?...
But yeah, it plays and it is a nice display-novelty at the same time.
Just too bad it broke, somehow... :\

I've never heard of anything like this. However, if it is purely for display purposes and it is made of vinyl, you might try a small amount of resin epoxy, very carefully applied and then let it cure for at least 48 hours. Good luck.

Do you have any way to post a pic of it so we know exactly what you're talking about?

I don't have a photo of mine at the moment, but I'll try and find a picture on the internet and point it out.

OK, so it's this record:

Now, if you look at one of the feet, the crack is like straight through one of them.
Like from the outer dent, on top of a foot, to about the dent under the bottom of the same foot.
The two parts only holding on by the image-material inside.

Ahh, okay. So using a little epoxy won't affect the play surface should you decide to spin it.

On second thought it appears to be just another "wardrobe malfunction." Nothing to get in a twist over.

These discs are designed more as collectibles and to be looked at rather than played.

...OK...
I played it yesterday, and it sounds alright but too much cracking.
Probably extra from usual because of the huge amount of dust embedded. :P
On the other side I can't display it the way it's broken either. :\

Maybe you could display it if you use a frame of some sort?

Couldn't he just use a drop of superglue and be done with it? I wouldn't think it would affect the vinyl adversely and it certainly would hold it well enough for his display stand that is included.
