I think they said later that something happened and they couldn't factory press them after all (I imagine the shipping issues that affected everyone at that time). But since they are now again promising pressed discs, I hope they will be really able to do it, otherwise it's a real shame to have to go back on that a second time.

Already pre-ordered The Road to Fort Alamo in any case.

I’m thinking about whether to get the Standard Edition of Sex of Angels as that is pressed. I could replace the original disc in LE (the only non-pressed disc I think I have) and donate the standard with the BD-R to someone.

Comes with the identical embossed slipcover as the first pressing
Is now a pressed disc not a burn
And the cover is double sided not just a front cover and plain inner like the first pressing...

I have both of them and they are not ideal:

* Sex of Angles is a BD-R (although it was later released as pressed disc)
* Road to Fort Alamo has some horribly damaged sections that I feel like a professional restorer would have been able to present in a better way no matter what. I don't know any other disc release where the film looks as damaged as this.

However, it was still impressive that they got even this far, starting from scratch, even with all the delays.

I would say the chances are slim, neither title have been released anywhere else on Blu. I don't think Severin or 88 or another distributor is going to be snapping them up anytime soon.

Of the 2 films the Bava one os more likely to be snapped up than the other one for obvious reasons.
