I would've suspected Scream Factory (or Shout for that matter in general) to have upgraded their slipcover game, considering that it's mostly only collector's who purchase their blurays today. Arrow and VS have just stunning slips for their movies, and Scream is directly competing with these labels.

They released a handful of titles in those thin hardboxes (the Halloween films are some), which tells me they were trying for better but nothing since. Maybe it's a financial thing.

Agreed. They could introduce Scratch and Sniff slipcovers. Pumpkinhead would smell like a pumpkin, Motel Hell like barbecue and The Haunting like shit.

So are the announcements supposed to be Night Of The Demons 4k, Pumpkinhead 4k, and The Blob 88 4k? And are these actually verified, or just rumored?

There's speculation of Night of the Demons 4k, Pumpkinhead 4k, The Blob 4k... also Night of the Demons 2 and possibly Night of the demons 3... but Night of the Demons 2 for sure..

Plus.. It (1990) may surface...

For September/ October... but I'd be surprised if most of these are all for September... meaning October just might be huge ...

Are the scratched discs a problem with all Scream titles that are currently in-print, or just newer releases? I ask because I recently got a copy of "The Car" when it came back in stock at Amazon, and it doesn't have any scratches. So I was wondering if I just got lucky, or if it's not known to be a problem with older titles that are still available.

It really only started becoming a thing the last 3 or so years, so older printed titles shouldn't be affected.

Post 1 & 2 list out all releases. Films with "Collectors Edition" all had slips as Spidernerd noted a few posts ago. If it's not a Collectors edition it most likely didn't have a slip with it UNLESS it was an IFC release as a good number of those did include slips.
