Anyway - I assume all this will be managed by the studio's - in this case Paramount.

Who is to say that they won't release a sub-standard version on Blu-ray - lacking any kind of special features, no uncompressed pcm, poor video quality (or even SD DVD quality) onto their Blu-ray disc releases???

Who could stop them doing this? Or even only releasing a limited number of copies? It could be argued by them in any of the above scenarios that they kept their end of the bargain - I know it's not necessarily good business but dumping Blu wasn't good for business either...and they got $150,000,000 which could be pay-off money for pretty much anything......
first off, people like steven speilberg will not allow a poor video quality of his videos for release. secondly, consumers will not be happy with the provider of the product, so i am sure they will complain, and the provider will have to do something about it. thrid and last, AND DON'T BE OFFENDED. BUT enough about paramount. BD BUY-A-THON is on september 18 and remember that we must support it, by going out and purchasing a bunch of movies all in one go.

and welcome to the forum.
