Likely not a popular title so may have had a small print run, but the Second Series of THE MAN IN ROOM 17 has been OOP for years and I haven't been able to find a reasonably priced copy anywhere. Check that: I haven't been able to find ANY copy, at least among the usual suspects like Amazon Marketplace and eBay. Of course, I have not made the search a full time job either, but with my cursory checking for the past two years I have not come up with a copy for sale. I wrote to Network long ago and they told me they had no plans to put it back in production. This was my first experience with a Network title going OOP and it definitely threw me at the time.

I don't understand the logic of continuing to sale series 1 and not have series 2 in print. It definitely is a white whale made even more so because as well as meaning you can't have a complete series of The Man in Room 17 it means it not possible to complete the loose trilogy of The Man in Room 17, The Fellows and Spindoe.

There's a copy on Cex's site for £30 (plus £1.95 P&P): https://shorturl.at/dpDHL

Strange. Have you tried another web browser?

Also worth mentioning that I shortened the URL, try the full link: https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail/...98d&position=3

This has been covered in the CeX thread.

Assume OP is overseas as the site uses IP blocking to keep out non U.K. residents as they only ship in U.K.

Probably because series 1 hadn't sold out (more produced?) rather than a desire to keep just that in print.

I imagine they'd have reissued it had a complete set eventually. They usually did.

As an aside, Dennis Potter at LWT has an equally hard to find second volume from the usual suspects of Amazon and eBay, even as a complete set compiling the two volumes which seems just as scarce. Yet Vol 1 on it's own is available relatively inexpensively. Thankfully, CEX to the rescue yet again, as they are the only place I have found vol 2 available for a very reasonable price. I guess CEX aren't scalpers on niche titles, purely because they want stock to move and not sit there in a hope of an heavily inflated sale.

That's weird, never had an issue from Android or PC from various countries.

They must have produced a disproportionally large amount of series 1 compared to series 2 for it to still be readily available 10 years after release.

Eventually in this case would have been 10 years and still counting.

Thanks for the original link and for the follow up about switching my VPN. I changed it to UK and was able to access the site. Unfortunately, it says the item is OUT OF STOCK.

A very learned former contributor to the forum has been coaching me on what Network titles to pick up since their knowledge of a lot of the label's output far exceeds mine. I definitely appreciate their advice, but man it's costing me so I think I better lay low for awhile and instead put my efforts into watching the stuff rather than just adding to it.

Latest additions: THE SANDBAGGERS and THE RIVALS OF SHERLOCK HOLMES (though I got the Acorn release on this one since it was a little cheaper). At this point, I would usually ask for more recommendations, but please take pity on my finances and stage an intervention for me!

Ha, only one which is Harry's Game which shares much of its DNA with The Sandbaggers.

Joe 90 Complete Blu-ray box, Gerry Anderson A Life Uncharted Blu-ray and Tales of Unease Complete Series DVD were briefly back in stock at HMV this afternoon.

Joe 90 is still in stock as I write for £27.99.

Managed to pick up Devil-Ship Pirates in a local shop. It was about the same price as it is on AMZ market or eBay, and the local shop gives you 10% bonus points for later use.

As a Hammer title, I suspect it has a better change of getting re-release some day than many other releases from Network. But I am not going to take that chance.

It's a fun film, Devil-ship pirates and network did a great job with it. Enjoyed it.

A quick recommendation for an under the radar vintage TV series from Network called UNDERMIND. This is a really compelling, if unsettling, show where you're never quite sure what is going on nor if you really want to find out. That was quite the unique concept for a series in 1965 and I find it still plays well today, maybe even better given the uncertainties in our current culture as to what's real and what isn't. And who or what is pressing the buttons.

Has anyone used Fruugo before? I'm still having problems with my order of Man in A Suitcase Volume 4 Blu-Ray & this is the ONLY place I can see it on sale.
