Did anyone get an order in when they wrongly listed Night Of The Comet 4k at 15.99? I knew it was a mistake but with their track record I figured they'd just cancel the order.

So many of their limited releases seem like movies that would have been amongst their regular releases in the past. It's really a shame they are being limited this way.

they’re being limited, because they probably won’t sell AND don’t have a history of moving a lot of units.

I wouldn't say LOTD is terrible. I don't recall it being boring at all. Is it Leviathan or Deepstar six? No but I think their budget was significantly less than those. Is it overpriced? Yes, but all their exclusives are. If VS released this it would also be their now standard $30 with slip price point, except unlike VS titles these will never go on sale. I know the film and will grab it while it's available. They've released far worse exclusives. Also this was never even released on DVD, this is its first home video release since VHS, massive upgrade and includes the MST3k episode.

By comparison though, if VS released LOTD it would surely have a few more extras and possibly a better PQ presentation. Add in the limited slip with new artwork and I think it's a better buy at $30.

I'm confident in my statement: it's the worst of the 80's-90's underwater sci-fi/horror flicks. That's not to say that I don't want to own it.
I'll get it eventually when my blu budget allows in a month or two.

the only good films from that soggy list are LEVIATHAN and THE ABYSS... and to be honest I enjoy LEVIATHAN the most and by a pretty wide margin....

Ordered School Spirt without hesitation. It's a guilty pleasure and a perfect late night sex comedy. Should be a very nice upgrade over the full screen DVD.

I'm with you! I still have my LDs of the two direct-to-video sequels as well as the DVDs that Fox put out a million years ago.

Another random thing: the action figures from the cartoon are worth a silly amount of money these days. I bought a bunch at the dollar store when I was a kid and still have them, so maybe I'll see how nostalgia vs. eBay plays out.

Another another random thing: I made the first ever Killer Tomatoes fan site way back in 1997. Somewhere, I have a floppy disk with a voicemail from David Miller. I'm old.

Just watched my "Fright" (1971) Blu-ray and the picture is beautiful. It's a pretty good movie too. Great atmosphere. Not much in the way of "slasher" but good, creepy fun. I like it.

Sometimes the Exclusive titles are not available to Canada either. Ugh, which means I need to watch eBay. I really wanted to order the Blu-ray of Abraxas.

Yep, same here. I think these Shout exclusive titles are literally the fastest order-to-ship out turn arounds other then Amazon Prime.

Great to see Sawbones getting a release. I think it's one of the first Roger Corman Presents made for Showtime movies to come out on Blu-ray. Apparently from what i heard Shout owns the rights to only a couple of those Showtime movies. They have the rights to Not Like Us and Virtual Seduction but not Suspect Device or Terminal Virus.
