one of my coworkers who went to england as quoting me on that amount. maybe that was after the exchange fees or something. thank you. I guess i'm putting an order in today when I get home.

While Lucky Number Slevin is region free, I am afraid that Gangs Of New York, and Brokeback Mountain are region coded "B" and will not play on my Sony region "A" player.

I'll make an order for Brokeback Mountain on Sept. 18. It's not a title I usually would have picked up but I haven't seen it yet and I have heard it's both good and that some shoots are very good for HighDef. I already have Gangs of New York on DVD and don't want to double dip too much.

So do you have those 2 discs and they don't play in your US player, or did you just go by the text on the cover? I would have to get both if they are region free (one for me and one for the wife... you figure out who wants what ). Thanks for the info.

I ordered slevin from sendit.com but its out of stock so I have to wait a little while to watch it. I also ordered the island and that is on the way. hope the pq/aq live up to the hype.
