The only bad news is, the movie can't move forward until after the strike...

Scream VI was passable...barely.
The formula is just driven completely into the ground at this point. Nonsensical new murderers (with equally goofy motivations), the "shock" killing of legacy characters, and increasingly ridiculous plot armor for characters taking multiple stabbings and continuing on like it's their afternoon hot yoga class. In spite of the series's steady decline, I'll probably be there for one more. Just give me some more Jenna Ortega, a matinee discount, a large Cherry Coke, and a couple of hours to kill. |

There hasn't been a bad Scream movie yet. They're all great.

Interesting choice. Loved his Happy Death Day movies. Hopefully that means Jessica Rothe will have a role.

No! Landon is a horror comedy director that overdoes it on the comedy and has absolutely no grasp of horror or tension

I'd imagine Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt are coming back to write the script, but in any case... you don't think Landon is aware of the film he's gonna be making? HDD and Freaky were his creations. S7 is different. He's filling in for Radio Silence which comes with certain responsibility to the franchise.

Mmhhh idk. I’m also skeptical that Christopher Landon can deliver on the scares and suspense. All his horror/comedy films have had a much stronger comedic tone, with the horror/tension almost feeling like an afterthought. Never say never, but can’t say it inspires much confidence. I really enjoyed Happy Death Day, but the highlight of that film was the comedy, Rothe’s performance, and her character’s arc. But not the horror or scares.
