My issue is the cast is too big so you can guess the killer right away.

If they bring back Sidney, Gale, Kirby and the Core Four, you know whoever else is cast will be the killer lol.

That’s my problem too. Every other Scream movie has killed the large majority of the cast and started fresh with a new cast each movie. I don’t know why they didn’t consider this problem when they refused to let anyone die in 6.

I say don’t bring Kirby back and send Tara off to college. We don’t even need both the twins or maybe just small cameo roles for either.

Give us Sid and Gale and lots of new characters and then throw Sam and Danny in too since it’s Sam’s story now.

That is a legit issue that will have to be addressed in S7. For anyone who liked the ensemble, may end up taking the pain this time. How else can we feel any sense of danger and peril?

Yep, that’s the biggest issue. Mindy should’ve died in part 6. Now 2 of them have to die. I’d be okay with Tara and Mindy dying.

I wish they’d do a spin-off series of Kirby solving Ghostface crimes across America. New mysteries unconnected to the main films. The motives are easier to guess now that everything is connected.

I’d say the writing improved for 6. There’s no more cringe worthy “teens obviously written by old men” dialogue. And I really enjoyed the emotional scenes.

It’s a lot more fun and feels bigger despite making NYC look so small because it was mainly poorly lit apartment scenes.

[Show spoiler]The opening scene is a MESS. It’s just Samara looking bored on the phone, taking a few steps into the alley and getting killed. And then it’s Tony R playing a boring game of colder warmer and getting stabbed. Ghostface appearing out of nowhere and immediately killing again, no chase scene, no fight back.

The opening scene had no impact and wouldn’t affect the movie if deleted. They don’t even thoroughly explain how Richie’s family knew about Jason’s plan.

If they wanted to do the “killer revealed early” thing they should’ve had Ethan doing the killing in the opening and revealing himself, and the audience knows he’s the killer throughout but not who the other two killers are.

If they wanted Kirby to be a red herring, they should’ve had Ethan as the killer revealed and have Kirby mention having a younger brother in college. That way it’s a red herring line but also sets up a future family member to use.

— the apartment attack could’ve been SO MUCH BETTER if they polished the script. Chad and Tara running out without making sure the others were behind them was stupid. Chad then does this again later with Mindy leaving her in the subway. You’d think he’d feel regret from the apartment attack about leaving Mindy behind and make sure she was right behind him in the subway.

Ghostface hiding the knives? There were tons of heavy objects and lamps and glass frames to use in that apartment.

Why didn’t Danny call the cops while he was holding the ladder or before after air dropping the picture? Why didn’t Danny run over to Sam’s apartment to help? We saw earlier he was able to enter the lobby.

How did Ghostface even get away? There was only one door out and last we saw Chad and Tara were pounding on it. Did they leave the building? Why? If they called the cops once they realized they were locked out, maybe the cops could’ve got there in time to surround the building. Danny also could’ve ran over once Sam and Mindy made it over to hold the ladder.

Tara and Chad were waiting outside the building in the morning so how did Ghostface get away? Neighbors didn’t hear all the screaming and call the cops?

— Detective Bailey replaced Quinn’s body with a “fresh one”? You’re telling me he dragged a body up those stairs in the apartment building and no one noticed? What was Quinn going to do after faking her death? An autopsy would’ve revealed it wasn’t her.

— neither Kirby or Gale did basic research to find out the identity of Richie’s family? Richie grew up in the rise of social media era so it’s nearly impossible to hide your family. Scream 2 was a bit more believable because the internet wasn’t a huge thing yet.

— Sam couldn’t call the cops to get to Gale’s apartment right away?

— again, like scream 5, everyone seems to forget they have cell phones in the finale when they really need them. Sam receives a call from Bailey about Kirby being the killer, but she can’t call for help? Message Danny who is right outside? Sam, Tara, and Chad can’t climb over that tiny 6 foot cage door and go pound on the main door or kick it open?

— Sam stabbed Ethan multiple times but couldn’t slice his throat? She had the time and opportunity to do so.

— Bailey had a loaded gun but couldn’t shoot Sam before running at her?

And that’s just the top of my head.

Two reasons:

1. Someone still may catch a glance at a spoiler in your post because you didn't use spoiler tags.

2. As I just said, if you think everyone should have seen the movie you're spoiling, giving any kind of spoiler warning makes no sense. You're giving a spoiler warning to people who may not have yet seen the movie, yet you also think those who haven't yet seen that movie shouldn't even be in this thread. Doesn't that seem a little cognitively dissonant to you?
