LMAO...I am well aware of where the caps lock is, but I was too excited and needed to capitalize every single word. This is no b.s. and the guy who had gone in was my brother's boss who does not have a Blu-Ray player or HD-DVD. He is waiting for the war to end and does not need to lie.

you gotta wonder if this is corporate policy or just a single store. Remember Sony is a top dog in the BDA, money is getting waved around.

I wish my Best Buy would do that.

Locally I have Best Buy, FYE, Newbury Comics and Walmart selling HDM. I wouldn't mind seeing HD DVD ejected from all of them. It's time for the HD DVD crowd to realize it's over.

^^ I was worried about the typos - and whether or not they were intentional. Good news, indeed. But, I'm not going to hold my breath...

This is great news for your best buy, I would be happier if all the stores followed though.

Default Good news

It be good if it were corporate. Stores like Sears only carry Blu-ray in stores, and HD-DVDs online.

I don't know if $ is being waved around and honestly at this point with *****amount I could care less who pays off who. I think this policy is for my local Best Buy.

Thumbs up

Great news even if it's Only one store. Now if they stop selling the Players as well it would be a Double hit to HD-duD. Sorry my Caps was messed up.

If we get their shelving it would be icing on the cake. My Target is like everyone else's and is pro-Blu-Ray. If someone can count to ten, they will know which format is leading.

Awesome news indeed. I hope this will reflect a Best Buy nationwide policy.
Then victory will be at hand.

May the Blu be with U

I agree 100%...I plan on going their soon myself and speaking to them, so I will keep all my Blu-Brothers posted.

Default Tempe, AZ

Well, I just went into the brand new Best Buy in Tempe, AZ (Tempe Marketplace), and this was the first time I'd seen a BB devote more shelf space to HD-DVD movies versus Blu-ray. I was surprised, but it appears they're far from choosing, or even preferring, sides.

are you sure there aren't blu-rays in other places. for example my bestbuy appears 50:50 at first glance and then there is whole other blu-ray 4-sided cubical in the middle of an aisle with a blu-ray endcap that has even more movies on it.

why would they be sharing their supply or marketing with general consumers.....especially something that wont even go into effect until 2008?

I call BS.
