On the contrary, this was recognized as being true by Congress:

“The United States House Select Committee on Assassinations published their report in 1979 stating that their "forensic pathology panel's conclusions were consistent with the so-called single bullet theory advanced by the Warren Commission".[11]”

Both JFK and RFK were killed by operatives and in both cases a convenient patsy was used.

For RFK there's less overwhelming evidence than for his brother, but all you need to hear is the chief coroner himself to know that this was another cover up.

The real shooter was situated right behind him and shot a few inches away. The only other person other than Sirhan Sirhan with a gun pulled out was the newly appointed security guard, and of course his gun never went into evidence and was never checked (and conveniently he moved to the Philippines after the event, where he lived till he died). Also worth noting RFK pulled off the necktie of that person, and held on to it as he died.

O for christ sakes - I am considering buying this inspite the conspiracy theory content because it is an enjoyable FILM with masterful filmmaking.

But the conspiracy debates here give me a bad taste and the film is in parts responsible for many conspiracy theorists.

As I was a teenager I also believed in the presented content of the film, I saw a "documentary" after that that was also backing up a lot of claims of the film.

Years later I read books about the JFK case, I watched numerous interviews, documentaries and even read that (imo bad) Colonel L. Fletcher Prouty book and listened to the White House tapes by Lyndon B. Johnson and I came to the CLEAR conclusion that the film is full of cr*p.

I hope I can enjoy this flick again just as a fiction and fantasy about the historic event.

It's past being viewed as a conspiracy theory by now (although a conspiracy yes). Well over half of Americans believe that Oswald either didn't act alone, or was not even the killer. In some polls the number was as high as 80% (by Gallup in 2001).

Why should it give you a bad taste? The movie and the follow up documentary only report on content that was already covered by books and was well documented. Granted it made the information much more available and mainstream however.

Just the fact alone that experts have proven it to be impossible to shoot 3 rounds in under 5 seconds with that rifle is evidence enough to eliminate the single shooter theory.

If anything it should make viewing of the movie even more fascinating. I recommend following up with Oliver Stone's JFK Revisited afterwards.

Sweet. This is one of my top 5 most wanted OOP titles. I don't even really care about the 4k, just the opportunity to be able to purchase this film. I've only seen it once (and not sure if it was the theatrical or director's cut since it was HBO or something), but I was really impressed by it.

Probably asking from the angle that, like HEAT, Regency was one of the producers, and now they're involved with Fox/Disney rather than Warner.

JFK was also co-produced by Regency and Canal+. It seems Warner kept US distribution rights to some early Regency titles they produced (Tin Cup, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Natural Born Killers, ect.), while international went to 20th as part of the Regency deal they have.

OTOH, I believe StudioCanal owns distribution rights in France if the recent French streams and 2023 L'atelier BD are to go by.

There are a thousand reasons given in JFK why the assassination was a conspiracy.

Even if only 5% of those are true that's surely enough to prove that something was covered up and that certain lies were told to the public.
