And now, I’m I luxuriating in the films of Isabelle Huppert, with tonight’s selection, White Material serving as my introduction to Claire Denis.

This is nirvana.

Yeah, fairly light month, but all great titles. I'm so happy to see GDT's Pinocchio not only get a physical release, but a 4K as well. I got to see the film in theater with directors GDT and Mark Gustafson in person, which was such a cool experience. I wrote about that here if you want to read about it.

I'll be getting Blast of Silence and Pinocchio. I was hoping Pinocchio would be coming out before the holidays were over as it just feels like the right time to watch that film as it just has that magical charm. Fantastic film and one of my most wanted Netflix films. Still waiting on Mank and Buster Scruggs though.

Okay but they need to release Red Balloon on its own too, like they did for Umbrellas Of Cherbourg. It’s a movie that should be passed down through generations; limiting the best presentation of it to a prohibitively expensive collector’s set would not be wise.

Earliest it'll be half-off is in Criterion's Flash sale around February/March.

1.5/3 correct, unfortunately no Red Balloon 4K (has a 4K DI and no 4K ), but at least that's coming. Ghost Dog will come one day, but might just get the StudioCanal since I own the Criterion bluray already.

Very glad to finally see the Blast of Silence upgrade, would have liked it to be a 4K disc, but it'll be great to see the new remaster on blu.
