Got my steelbook or mediabook whatever its called. Not nice to see both discs placed in one holder with 4k disc on top which means the chances of 4k disc getting scratched are more. Also this book never closes completely so if you need to put in your shelf you have to put it between other movies. I was so excited to have this new looking merge style of steelbook and digibook but it had to close properly. I would have preferred a old style steel instead or a digibook.

Now about the picture quality. Its very very good. From great to amazing. I am not a 4k guru but it looked so awesome to my eyes with inky blacks and the same kind of dull color tone which was intended by Burton. Audio is very very powerful even though it's not atmos. Best version of Sleepy Hollow available now so get it and don't read comments by picky users. See it for yourself and you ll see I am right.

Anyone have any updates about extra stock of the steelbook at Best Buy? I'm not making the trip to my local BB till sometime this week and will have no idea if extra copies will be available from the back from them.

I was hoping to have this by now for my birthday, which is today.

Near me, a copy randomly popped up a couple days ago (Steelbook) at a Best Buy 20 miles away from me, possibly a copy someone failed to pick up. It lingered for a while, then was sold, but was available for pick-up at that location for a time. This sort of thing happens a week or so following release of a sold-out item, about the 7 day pick-up deadline copies sometimes suddenly show up (I've gotten a few other items like that before, in perfect shape, not damaged, i.e. not a damaged return, though that is also a possibility).

Anyway, point being you can check the Best Buy site periodically, if you're lucky you might notice a copy pop up and be able snag it.

If you can afford 4k uhd releases you should be able to afford a 4k uhd player, which can work with any TV

If you just want the Blu for backwards compatibility backup to take to a friend house, a bedroom tv, car, etc, the old Blu should be sufficient for this. A digital code is also provided which has the new transfer for these use cases.

Tbh at this point I'm the format I'm fine with no Blu at all

I'm never gonna even look at the Blu except to load up the extras.

We may have 4K, but some may not have complete 4k gear yet and would like to see it in decent quality.

We don't get the digital code over here, BTW.

Managed to get the last standard copy at a Best Buy not too far from me. The slip had a small scratch on the front, which was no big deal. Currently watching, and man, this blows the old BD away. The lossless soundtrack is rich and dynamic as is the wonderful Elfman score. While not entirely a reference demo disc, it’s worth the upgrade. Shame they didn’t include a remastered BD for those who were hoping for one.

I ordered the standard edition from Target for pick-up as they showed as only having 2 left. There was a tiny scratch in the top right of the slip. After picking up, I checked out the one left in stock and it had a small scratch in the upper left hand corner. Pota(y)to/Pata(h)to.

I got the beautiful Fabelo Steelbook in today (UK exclusive).

Talking about the technical specs, the 4K transfer is indeed restored from the original 35 mm camera negative and the ratio has been fixed to 1.85:1 (NOT the 1.78:1 aspect ratio of the 1080p releases) .

What´s more, the english audio on the 4K is a new DTS-HD MA 5.1 track, not the same one from the 20th Anniversary Blu-ray.

The Blu-ray coming with the Fabelo Steelbook is not remastered and the very same disc released in England in early 2022 and Germany in 2020.

My standard edition was just delivered with no slipcover. It's a luck of the draw, I guess. Sometimes, a movie can be out for over a year and still come with a slipcover, and others, such as this, can be missing theirs after only two weeks! Did they have to do a second print?

I don't where where you ordered it from but there is no slipcover for Sleepy Hollow in Canada.

I ordered it from BullMoose, which is where I usually order things. Everything else that should have had a slipcover had one. They did run out of copies of Sleepy Hollow before they fulfilled my order, which has me thinking my copy is from a second pressing. If so, there may not be any more slipcovers for the standard editions. I've never had a problem with BullMoose, and I don't think this is their fault. Someone screwed up at Paramount!

Plus the back cover distinctly says it’s got the Commentary when neither disc has it. Will the U.K ever get the commentary?

Ehh Batman has way more going for it than this lol, and there is nothing wrong with the script for ES lol. Disagree on both points immensely. This film is not on that kind of level, and it's not even close.
