That wouldn't be worth upgrading for (unless you are German) but with branching they could include both.

Default RSM and Turbine Comparison?

Is anyone able to dig up any background on the two companies?

Random Space Media seems to have been a very small media company. Zoominfo lists 31 employees, revenue of $8.1 million, 15 years retailing media. RSM released maybe a dozen or so movies/collections.

Turbine Medien has 350 releases listed on blu-ray.com but I can't find any other data easily.

We owe a debt to Random Space Media but I'm hoping (and it appears) that Turbine might be better capitalized.

Has anyone watched the interview at https://www.hidefninja.com/community...ermany.117488/ ?

Peter Jackson was mentioned..... but I haven't watched it yet.

We are a company of six people, make way less revenue than RSM (if Zoominfo is in any way reliable) and we'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary next year.
Not sure what data you need to do the math.

Thanks for posting here. I’ll buy any new 3D titles you put out, I already have about 99% of those released by every other company.

Thanks for joining the forum and posting here. I'll sticky this thread as I'm sure you will be getting a lot of requests. Us 3D fans are so starved of new content that we will literally buy everything you put out on 3D Blu-ray.

yes thanks for posting here . There are so many unreleased 3d titles that we would love to get . Also was wondering there are a few 3d films released in Germany that only have German subs or Language . Would it be possibly to release any of these with English language or subs ?

Reading this also RRR: Rise Roar Revolt comes to my mind. 3 hours of best indian 3D entertainment. Would be wonderful to see this one day on a 3D Blu-ray.

I'm not one to talk and cause any additional drama than there needs to be, but, wouldn't it be better for the CRITERION COLLECTION to, also, fill that niche as well, they are very well established, respected, and have been around for years, plus had great success with a 3D film...PINA...why NOT more?

The place to discuss Criterion would be one of the Criterion threads:

Criterion US
Criterion UK

I would say that Turbine is actually the perfect company to pick up where RSM left off. I have a couple of their discs and they are very well mastered, both video and audio wise. The fact that they do their own authoring and encoding is a sign we might get some very high quality discs when it comes to their 3D releases. One thing that always bothered me with RSM was the no atmos on their exclusive 3D discs, when the rest of Universal’s releases had atmos when they were being released worldwide. So Turbine being an absolute fan of Atmos is a major plus for all of us and I frankly could not have hoped for the future of 3D discs to be in better hands.

They could fill the niche as you say with other studios, so far Turbine has Universal titles. its a wait and see now what happens. as 13thman said, ask Criterion directly, actually not just them Kino as well.

Plus the owner of Turbine is a certified 3D enthusiast and a thoroughly friendly individual. I think you’re right, we’re lucky to have Turbine working with 3D. I hope it’s very lucrative for them!

Yes, based on what we've seen and know now I feel much more optimistic about Turbine and potential 3D releases. Big hurdle of course is getting studios to license content.

Whatever happens, I wish the folks at Turbine well and if they can secure some 3D content I will be standing by with cash in hand!

I'm very excited for Turbine to join the 3D realm!

I'm very much hoping they can get a few new titles for our 3D collections, but I will support everything they release including the titles previously released from RSM!

Starting with Universal is fine because that gives me hope of having The Super Mario Bros Movie and Puss in Boots 2
