Oh, there's many gifted actors for sure, just that the unfortunate truth is that it's such a small group of people that can get to the top compared to how many people want to be aspiring actors, models etc. and that's why we constantly hear about the exploitation stories.
Personally i think we need a wholesale change in how people generally are educated about appearances and putting significantly more warning labels on stuff such as how much filters, photoshop etc. is done to stuff because people don't seem to have a clue.
I feel like we should sometimes appreciate what we do have, hut anything we're not happy with, try to change in positive meaningful ways. Not like how some resort to drastic plastic surgery but the dirty truth is, and has been for a long time now. Almost alp the top actors/actresses get work done. Tom Cruise for example is the biggest example. He was also seen as a really good looking guy in the late 90s to early 2000s, but he had surgery along the way too. Funnily enough, Tom is probably one of those actors where i'd say height wasn't as much of a factor due to when he started acting and having good looks helped compensate for the lack of height. If there was a safe surgery, i'd almost bet he'd have gone for that procedure too.
Either way i see it, actors, models etc. is an extremely limited niche field when it comes to the A list. The rest are full of wannabes and dreamers. Hell, if i wanted to right now, i can go out there and randomly sign up with any so called "modelling" agency and call myself a "model" but that doesn't mean i'd probably get very far.
Ah, you damn lucky guy, you.
Oh well, i guess i'll just have to ride your handsome coat tails
