I'll consider it if they include the original mono track.

If the people on this site are worried about what the film will look like, you need to worry about more important things besides a friggin’ film. Just wait and see what reviews are saying, then make your judgment if you’re gonna buy it or not. Me personally, I think it’s one of the worst Cameron films ever made. He’s done crap films since “T2”.

Feel like ABYSS will get announced Wednesday at the beyond fest screening in LA.

Fan-freakin-tastic... might be able to scratch another title of my release wishlist. Now we need some ALIENS (maybe some luck launching along side the new series or whatever they're working on).

I've only seen the movie once on home video, the original VHS release. Then saw it three times in 3D cause Paramount gave away free tickets.

I just want the Blu-Ray to get reprinted.

Plus you gotta take into consideration Paramount's awful UHD encodes.

I'll reserve judgement until I see caps but hopefully the disc doesn't turn out like the actual ship.
High framerate how?

Did it resemble the look of Paramount's DigiSmear?

Lightstorm created a 4K master from the original elements back for the 2012 3D re-release. The existing Blu-ray is made from that master. The 2017 Dolby Cinema re-release came from that master.

I don’t know if they created a new master for the recent re-release, but the DNR was rough in Dolby Cinema 3D earlier this year.

I still have never seen this film. You know how it ends, so I always figured, what’s the point? lol

I own the regular Blu and 3-D Blu, but maybe on 4k I’ll finally give it a spin.

It's not about the destination; it's about the journey. Honestly, although the movie takes place on Titanic, it's fate takes a back seat to the main story.

For what it's worth, it's one of the best movies I've seen.

Well the one good thing we can say if James Cameron DNR and AI enhances Titanic is that at least the man is consistent

Still holds up an absolute masterpiece, superb film making from start to finish and the kind of spectacle, interlaced with drama that Hollywood rarely seems to deliver these days.

I love the 3D version.

It’s day 1 for me, Phil. I love this movie so much that I gots to see the UHD for myself, no matter how good/bad it ends up.

(For what it’s worth, I quite enjoyed the Avatar UHD.)
